Replacing blades I need to replace the blades on my craftsman 42" dual blade lawn tractor and before I break a knuckle cranking the wrong way on a bolt can someone tell me if it's the standard lefty loosey or is backwards?

How do you replace the blades on a 42 in. deck? do they need to be placed in a special way?

use the blades for leverage when loosening the bolts. when putting new blades on, hold the blade in the star center hub install washer and bolt. use blade for leverage when tightening.

When mowing tractor leaves rows, but in reverse there couldn't be a better pass?

the blades may need changing or you have a possible bearing going out blades will do that when they need replacing.

Mowing deck pullies, mounting and spring application.

Download the product manual from the Sears website. Murray manufactured these tractors so you can download the manual from the Murray website also. Procedure for replacing the mower deck belt is quite simple. No need to remove the deck. Spring location also on diagrams. Mower deck parts diagram breaks down the whole assembly. Easier way to remove pulleys is using an impact wrench, otherwise hold the blade while removig the nut that holds the pulley in place. Use a heavy glove to hold the blade for safety!
