System Coordinator Password Reset

I need to reset the system coordinator password because it has gotten lost along the way. Can you help me?

    I have a phone that I need to retrieve messages from, but I do not have the admin/coordinator password. Now the phne is locked and says to ask the admin/coordinator for the password! That's me
    and I don't know the password... what do I do to retrieve these messages and reset the password?

Press "Feature 985" - this will show the voicemail extension. Dial "9" and it will prompt you for a password. Using the dialpad, dial "RESETSMPSWD". This will change it back to the default of "0000".

What feature is programming mode?
Old software:
For Administration (client side) - Feature **23646 (ADMIN)
For Configuration (tech side) - Feature **266344 (CONFIG)

New software:
Feature **266344
Depending on the password depends which side is accessed.

Suggest that you get a tech or vendor in for quick admin training.

If just admin changes required the look for "Norstar System Coordinator Guide"

You can keep it at the default password. It will allow you to do everything except remote recording of the main greeting with a default PW.

If you don't have a 7310 or greater phone, then you need to get one. I would imagine you can buy one for under $100.

Our system coordinator password does not work.. it states invalid password. How do I reset this
Log in with the installer password and change it. It's probably on this forum somewhere or you can email me privately for the password at [email protected]. If that password doesn't work, you'll need to go back to the person who installed your system or back to Nortel to reset it.

Try this: "Feature" 983, Enter 120000 or the system coordinator password, press "ok", press "mbx", press "chng", then enter the mail box number, press "reset", then release. The mail box password should default to "oooo"
