Windows XP: Flipping the screen upside down and back again

Once, at University, someone had flipped the screens of all the public computers (running on Windows XP) of the English Department upside down. The wallpaper, desktop icons, fonts, mouse-cursor and even the start-up screen...everything was displayed or moved upside down. People could not check out their e-mails or surf or do anything.
To reverse the upside down screen mode, press ctrl, alt and the up arrow (arrows console) at the same time; the screen will probably go blank. Turn off the monitor, turn it on again and the display will be normal again. If you possess a sense of humour or are antisocial, press ctrl, alt and the down arrow simultaneously, turn off the monitor, turn it on again and everyone (excluding the culprit) will be desperate --> upside down! Works for Windows XP Home and Prof.

Thank you so much! My grandson somehow got my screen upside down and I'm the Grandma! lol! I'm not the best "fix it" person for computers but I have learned to Google what's wrong and look for a "fix". Yours was simple to the point and worked!! Thanks again!

my cat sat on my keypad also & ...... guess what? I figured there had to be some simple combination of keys to flip the screen back but just didn't know it. Thanks so much!

Ramsa don't worry we are here..lol

see on tray icon, naturally right-bottom on the screen, (where the system date is displaying), in your case it may be top-left of the screen. Got it.............grt.

now see carefully, there might be an icon like monitor...... hmmm right click on it and navigate the pop-up menu appeared. You will find there Rotation, Select Default for Usual setting... :))

Thanks
Iqbal

SOURCE: Windows XP screen is flipped upside down...virus?!

Virus is possible but check the software for your video driver first. This has keyboard sequences that allow the screen to be rotated. Minimize any windows you have open till you have the desktop on the screen. Then on a blank area of the desktop in the middle of the screen right click mouse. If you see an option for screen properties or rotate screen or screen options choose it. In there you should see an option for rotating the screen

Sharp lc-55n7000u half screen upside down

Hi,

There should be a setting on your TV that is called Picture Flip. See if you can access it with your Sharp remote (not a Universal remote)

Press MENU
Scroll left or right to SETUP
Scroll up or down to PICTURE FLIP
Scroll up or down to STANDARD
Press ENTER
Press MENU
That should turn your picture normal. Let us know if it worked.

Whenever I plug in my charger, the screen starts to flip, going upside down and sideways really fast, and the Q Menu pops up along with the onscreen keyboard.

it sounds like the charger is worn out, its output is noisy, if it works ok on battery then replace the charger, avoid using the bad charger it may damage your tablet.
