i need destroyit 5009 plug

There could be several issues that can lead to this.
1.) check voltage, has anything been added to the circuit that could be reducing the voltage/amperage to this shredder
2.)excessive debris stuck around the cutter shafts
3.) is oil getting to the cutter shafts

4.) remove side panels and check the make sure the drive chain is lubricated.


Might not solve it but it's a good place to start.

I have a Destroyit 4002 cross cut paper shredder. I have ordered parts twice from shredderparts.com
Both times they were friendly and sent me the correct parts.

The Motor drive device has gone open circuit in the little electronic controller, you will need to replace this. getting parts will be hard.

I get a lot of shredder parts from Whitaker Brothers, 1-800-243-9226. They have always been very helpful.

The plastic gears on either side of the drive motor have the teeth sheared off. I just have to find somewhere to buy the parts.
