Hp-t5054 "no input devices are connected"

Hi,
I just bought this TV last week. Now I am getting the above error message. I called Samsung and of couse, they were as helpful as a bottle of laxatives would be in remedying diarreah. I have purchased 2 seperate HDMI cords and have tested my cable on a regular TV. Any advice?

Having a similiar problem. My HP T5054 has been working on hdmi cable provided by verizon with their stb. It worked last night. When it was powered up this morning along with the stb the message "not supported mode" . Thats all it says in a pretty little box. The STB still outputs rs170 and havent tested component outputs yet. Anyone know how to enter setup on the Motorola STB DVR?

If you are using hdmi out from your cable box It must be turned on in the system menu. The cable box can work on a regular tv, eg. component, cable, or composite video but still not send a signal out to HDMI unless switched on in the box's menu. I see this quite often and also in some cases you have to switch the box to send digital audio out through the HDMI cable. Hope this helps.

Samsung plasma tv model HP-T5054 MODEL CODE HP-T5054X/XXA CA5OC9 Manfactured June 2007 Mexico

Plasma is old technology and it is 16 years old and made in Mexico, the worst place for quality control. It is time for a new one, or at least an upgrade. Or you can get a board kit and take a chance on fixing it.

Samsung hp t5054 light comes on but it has no pic, sound and does not click when plugged in

Check that all cables are intact and plugged in correctly. (VGA, DVI, Antenna etc.) Did you place batteries correctly?
There might only be one button that turns the TV on/off (usually a red button in the top of the remote).

I experience some temporary image retension with my samsung hp-t5054. What is the best way to resolve this. What are the best settings for my TV?

HI.

This is a common problem with this Samsung TV.

Is this a new TV? If so, remember that it has a break-in period of about 100 hours or so. Not everyone believes in this, but in my experience it does have an effect.

Try reducing your contrast ratio to 35 (default is 50). You shouldn't see too much of a difference and it may solve your problem. And if it's a new TV, you could try setting it back to 50 again after the so-called 'break-in period'. Hope this helps.

Good luck,

-LL

Connected to "Y"? That is for the rgb cables for a high def connection method. You need to find the video in connection plug, usually yellow to get a color picture for the games. Hope this helps.
