We have Grundig Cinemo TV (3 years old) The procedure for turning on the TV is
1. Switch on the power
2. Push upstart button on the remote contol. Then it normally takes 5 seconds and the TV is starting.
The problem now is that when we push the upstart button, the TV seems like responding as usual, but in the end the red light is turned on (TV is off) instead of the green light.
Have anyone experience with this problem?
Thanks!

I have had the same problem twice. The complete PC Board had to be changed on mine for it to start working again. The part usually runs around $150 not including labor.

It looks to me that your tv is starting up and then shutdown. I have suspect that your tv have a high voltage shutdown. Check your B+ voltage, if not correct rectify it. If it sound like gibridge to , then seek professional help. good luck

Hi,
From the symptoms you describe, it seems the high voltage flyback
autotransformer has failed along with the horizontal amplifier (they
are slaved to each other).
Well,
the only way to solve this is to get a technician take a look at the
set, I'm afraid. Repairs could cost upto $100 or more, depending upon
the number of components that need to be replaced,
Since the set is new, it may be worth getting
fixed up. If you decide to do so, call around, as shops have different
rates and different expertise. Many shops are hurting for work because
so many of the smaller sets are never repaired anymore; they are just
thrown out and replaced since the cost of a new set is sometimes as low
as the repair expense.
Hope that helps...Should you have any further questions,
please feel free to post them here.
P.S. Before you assign a rating, please
make sure that the issue is resolved or you are satisfied. If not, please post
back as to what you did, and/or any other questions you may have, and I will
try to assist you as best I can. Please do not assign an ‘Inappropriate’ or
‘Thanks for trying’ rating if your issue is not resolved after the first
response itself, as sometimes a bit of to and fro dialogue may be necessary
before we can find a fix or an answer to
your query.
If you find that the solution/answer I provided led you
to, or resulted in a fix, please close the ticket with a FixYa! rating.
I would be very grateful for your show of appreciation.
Thank you for using FIXYA!

SOURCE: Power light flashes and computer turns off
This is a 1,2,3 item. If it is not the power supply, the cpu or motherboard are the next likely culprits. Generally, if the power supply is OK, the pc would have the fans running and you should be able to open the case and check the North Bridge, the large chip on the motherboard near the cpu and the cooler on the cpu itself. If they are both still cold, it is most likely the mother board.
It it were the cpu, it won't post, but you should still be able to feel the heat with the back of your fingers, just to be safe and touch it quickly so you don't get burned.
You can also try to remove the ram and try to reboot, if you get a steady series of beeps, you can add 1 stick at a time and reboot just to try to elimanate ram as a potential problem.
My next step would be to remove all of the other cards and add 1 at a time and reboot after each card, I probably removw the 4 pin connectord from the dvd/cd hard drives also ans add 1 at a time.
I know this sounds like a lot of work, but this is how I troubleshoot pc and telephone systems for the last 25 years.

Sky+ Remote Control Unit Programming Procedure Follow the steps below
1. Select any channel on the TV.
2. Point your Sky+ remote control away from the TV and press the tv button.
3. Press and hold down the Select and red buttons simultaneously on the Sky+ remote control until the red light at the top of the Sky+ remote control flashes twice.
4. Input the 3 digit number from the Sky+ remote control codes then press the Select button. The red light at the top of the Sky+ remote control should flash twice.
5. Point the Sky+ remote control at the TV and try the volume button.
If this works try the other TV functions.
If these work then the correct code has been selected.
It's important to note that not all TV functions will be supported by the Sky+ remote control e.g. Picture in Picture.
?
If all functions do not work correctly, then repeat steps 1 - 3 and work through all the relevant 3 digit numbers from the Sky+ remote control codes, until you find the code which supports all or as many of the TV functions as possible.
Please note: In order to operate both your TV and Sky+ with your Sky+ remote control, you will be required to switch modes e.g. to switch on your TV from stand-by, you would need to press "TV" followed by the "Stand-by" button. Then to change channel on your Sky+ you would need to press the "Sky" button followed by the "TV guide" button.
