Waterline on back of refridgerator keeps popping out and leaking

The plastic waterline that goes up the back of the refridgerator to the ice maker and water dispenser pops out of the holder and the water leaks. I've put in back in several times and even duck taped it to the back but the pressure still pops it out. Any suggestions of why?

The water feed tube that goes through back wall of freezer to ice maker is most likely frozen. That is caused by leaky water valve. Thaw tube and replace valve

There should be a compression fitting that seals the water tube to the fridge. The fitting looks like a brass or plastic nut that the tubing sticks into. Shut off water supply to the fridge and carefully remove the fitting nut...there should be cone shaped compression ring inside the fitting nut. Slide the nut over the tube, then the compression ring over the tube. If the compression ring is tapered towards one end, then put the narrow end towards the end of the tube. Now stick the tube up to the fitting on the fridge where the nut screws on to the fridge. Hold the tubing firmly against the fitting and slide the compression ring and nut up to the fitting and screw the nut back on (compression ring should be inside the nut). You must hold the tubing firmly against the fitting until you get the nut tightened back down good with a wrench. This should take care of it.

If you find that the tip of your tube end is damaged, then you may have to cut off the tip of the tube to get it to seal and hold. If you find that the compression ring is damaged (won't slide over the tubing) or missing, then you can go to Lowe's or Home Depot and get a new nut and compression ring...they are cheap. You can also get new tubing there if you need it.

My lines are connected by a push in fitting, and every few days the same side is popping off. Trimmed the side that popped out 1/4' and its still comes out every few days. Any ideas?

I have the same problem. I think the inlet tube (fill tube) to the ice maker freezes for some reason, causing the water tube to pop out when the water can't get through. I replaced the water inlet valve but that didn't seem to fix the problem. No one has been able to tell me how to keep that tube from freezing.

Not making ice

make sure your waterline is not kinked or leaking. Otherwise no water will run through to your icemaker, and make sure your ice making handle is in ON position

Automatic ice maker not receiving water to make ice. Checked and clean line from water supply valve to refrigerator. Checked ice maker and all seems well/normal.

first thing to check is the waterline going into the fridge, unhook the waterline and see if water is coming out. make sure you locate the shutoff before you take it apart!! if you have water going to the fridge then you could have a frozen line issue or an ice maker issue. more than likely the saddle valve got clogged up with something. close the saddle vale all the way then open it back up and test it then.

Ice maker not making ice , we have water in the dispencer but no ice

Is the icemaker turned on? Did someone bump the on/off lever/switch accidentally?

If not, if you put your fingers in the ice tray, is there water/ice cubes? Unit may be froze up or the waterline may have froze up. Pull your food out and turn off the fridge and let the icemaker and waterline thaw. Speed it up with a hair dryer (caution that you dont melt plastic or wires).

Have a new frigidaire how long does it take for ice bin to fill after waterline install

Ice maker will call for water 12-14 hours after plug in. If the ref was running and then Waterline was connected it should call for water in 4 hours or less. Easy rule, after 24 hours, ice bin should be full.

Ice maker waterline frozen

Occasionally these freeze up on many brands. Usually if the ice maker is not used much. There is a rubber tube that deposits water into the ice maker unit, Thaw it by warming it with your fingers. You can carefully use a hair dryer as well

Ice maker and water dispensor not working on GE profile model 26...could it just be a frozen line?

yes.........unless the waterline from the house hookup ie--saddlevalve is plugged follow the waterline from where it hooksup turn to close all the way!!! then turn it back on see what that does for you because if the saddlevalve is hooked on the bottom of the waterline it could have gotten plugged over time

Smelly refridgerator/freezer

I refrigerator does not produce a smell. The smell is usually from what goes into it. Take some charcoal (not the kind with starter in it),put 5 to 10 in a bowl and place into the freezer area and ball up some newspaper and place it on top of the charcoal. Use one of the lower shelves to place this on. You may want to take this time and remove any items that are not sealed good. Leave this in the freezer for 3 days, replace the paper with new balls of paper. In a week take it all out, this may help.
You can always leave charcoal in the frig, in a small bowl.
About the ice and water, this should be the taste of the waterline, plastic or nylon type hose on the back. Replace this with a good quality waterline and filter from a hardware or home store.
Hope this helps.

Whirlpool refrigerator waterline is clogged

go to the back of the ref, trace the incoming water line, it should go to a two pc solenoid valve. if you press water at the front, one of the solenoid should click. the one that didn't click is the one for the ice maker. see if you can detach the water line that comes out of that solenoid. that line goes to the ice maker. you can flush it with water to clean it. be aware that a lot of water would be overflowing inside the ice maker . i hope i was able to solve your problem..
