Hand-set Intermittant and clicking

I've had problems lately whereby the handsets produce clicking noises and the audio is intermittant. This includes the room monitor feature.

How do I fix this?

  • VanessaVB Mar 09, 2009

I have the same problem with my cordless phone clicking. Live in a small apartment and yes, I do now have wireless devices; this is when the problem started to happen... My wireless router is right next to my cordless phone - but I dont have many options since my computer, phone and TV are all part of a package deal through me cable co... I cant have random cable wires running through the house across floors, so what can I do? I could move the phone a few feet away but other than that are there any options?

If all your handsets simultaneously recently starting having this problem, the first start would be replacing your base after you have determined a site problem as cropped up. Did you or a neighbor add any wireless devices lately? Did you move your base? Your problem is a common problem with all cordless devices where the base and handsets are not communicating properly with eachother, it is common that it is interference, or your radio modules in your base/handsets are failing. Try powering down you base for a while, then give it a try. But I would look at your environment and see if anything changed. Good Luck

Crackling noises in ADAM A8X

I just repaired an Adam A8X which had intermittent noise coming from the woofer. Turns out it has two (cheap?) volume knobs inside for factory calibration, which are not accessible to the user. In my case the low-frequency pot had collected dust and caused intermittent noise and reduced woofer output. I opened the unit up, rotated the knobs back and forth a little bit and set them back to their original position. This resolved it. Maybe your issue is related. They may have fixed this in MK2?

Hi my name is jeremy snow and i have recently had problems with my sony trinitron xbr 1997. lately the picture like scrunches up into the top of the screen and the tv just goes black and now like sometimes...

You have two problems. Dry joints causing the no picture and capacitors causing the frame cramping.
A 680uF 35Volt capacitor will fix the frame cramping and re soldering underneath almost everywhere will solve the intermittant picture fault.

Blank screen, intermittant. still takes pictures.

It's under warranty still (just!) and is faulty.

Don't waste time trying to fix this, just claim on the warranty before it's too late.

Model kxtg2432 display disappeared on hand sets started with one becoming intermittant then it stopped working all togeher now the 2nd handset is doing the same thing

I fixed my Panasonic KXTG 2432 phones by throwing them against the wall and buying another phone set made by another company . I also fixed a set of A.T.T. cordless phones the same way. seems to be the quickest way to feeling better about the garbage electronics being inported into the U.S. what ever happend to pride in workmanship

Intermittant speaker distortion on Technics SX PR602

I was struggling with the same problem with my friend piano. You need to replace check module which is plugged near power transistors. I found two bad transistors g109 and q119 (2SA1015). Changing those transistors and remaking soldering joints solved this problem.

Hitachi

What you are hearing is the impending death of some component.
I see your post is old so I won't spend too much time on it.

Certain capacitors and semiconductors will produce this kind of noise when dying.
An intermittant solder junction can also do this.

It would take some signal tracing skills to locate the origin though I suspect you have already paid for the work or given up on the set.

Remote problem

It sounds like an intermittant Infared sensor problem or there is an intermittant solder connection between the sensor and the controler chip. Good Luck
