Try to clean the copper contacts on the printhead and the ink cartridge with a lint free cloth moistened with water. Try to make a copy if it will not print in black, if it will print a black copy then it might be that the settings your print driver is the issue. If you have a problem with the printhead, I suggest you try following the cleaning instructions available in the User Guide. Refer to page 212 of the pdf file here.
If this does not resolve your problem you may need to contact HP directly or an authorized repair center to order a new printhead.
