The green light on the front panel of my Mitsubishi Model WS-55511 TV is flashing but the tv won't turn on and hitting the reset button does nothing. The tv will not turn on... What can I do to fix this?
I had the same problem with the blinking light on the front of the TV and it would not power up. I read all the problems everyone was having and thought I was going to face a huge repair bill. The service guy came out, pulled off the front panel where the speakers are and disconnected the circuit for the front display panel. 3 1/2 minutes in my house, $90 service call. Apparently, when you give the TV too many commands at once, it's safety feature is to"shut down and lock up". He mentioned also that sometimes when these sets get to be about 4-5 years old, the wires in front can "leak" causing a shortage and then locking up the TV. I keep the circuit unplugged and operate the TV solely by the remote. Give it a try, what can it hurt!! Hope this helps.

Sometimes the control panel switches on the front of the set go bad.
Try running your fingers across the buttons to see if it helps.
I ended up disconneting the front panel switch board and just use the remote now.
