SOURCE: i have a 220 440 electric motor on my 4 post 3 ton

You need to either change the motor to a single phase or check into a single to three phase converter...I would do which ever is cheaper myself. You could go single phase, but the cost of operation would be higher depending on the duty cycle.

SOURCE: 3 phase air compressor wrong rotation

yes it will you need to make sure you have the proper wires connected to get either clockwise or counter-clockwise rotation.

try changing the hot wires around to correct your problem

SOURCE: dewalt radial arm saw GW1- Is it single phase or 3 phase

if the plug on the cord fits any other outlet in the house it will be single phase
if the cord is cut , then it will have only 3 wires if it is single phase
( active , neutral and ground )
if it has 4 or more wires it will be 3 phase
most saws running a 200 mm blade or around that size and used for home duty will be single phase
the phase notation will be on the plate attached to the motor of the saw
It will read voltage , amperage, watts or hp, phase and cycles

How do I identify what type of plug is needed for hobart D300T?

This is a great mixer and comes in single phase are well as 3 phase. If you have three wires, it is live, neutral and ground and is single phase. It it has 4 wires, it has a ground, two live and a neutral it is 3 phase 220 volts.

MOTOR: 3 ?4 H.P., Hobart designed, permanently lubricated ball bearings, totally enclosed, internally ventilated. Single-phase is capacitor-start, induction-run type. Three-phase is squirrel cage, induction-run type. Single Phase 115V 11.6 Amps 200V 6.3 Amps 230V 5.8 Amps Three Phase 200V 2.5 Amps 460V 1.0 Amps ELECTRICAL: 115/60/1, 200/60/1, 230/60/1, 200/60/3, and 460/60/3 - U L Listed. Also available in 220/50/1, 200/50/3 and 220/50/3 - not submitted for U L Listing.

Bought a 702-33 taylor 3 phase ice cream machine. Is there a way to change it to us single phase?

Running a three phase motor on single phase power is simple. First you'll need to invest in a variable frequency drive. We recommend using the SMVector Series Variable Frequency Drive for multiple reasons. The SMV is simple to setup and easy to wire. It also comes standard with a NEMA 1 enclosure which gives basic dust and water drip protection. Most importantly, for the purposes of this post, the SMV comes with a number of different single phase input options up to 3 HP

I have a Ingersoll Rand Compressor model# 2545E10V 10 HP,3 phase and I would like to convert it to a signle phase. would this motor here be good to go with and what other items will be needed to complete...

It might. Mounting holes match? Shaft diameter and adapter match? Power supply sufficient for 5HP motor? It's a big motor! You might get a better answer from the ebay supplier.

What is hobart h600, single phase or 3 phase?

Not sure if you are asking if an H600 is automatically a single phase or a 3 phase and the answer is NO. Depending on the motor it will be 1 phase or 3 phase application. It will have 4 wires versus 3 wires -- hope that makes sense 3 of the wires are "HOT" on a 3 phase and only 2 are "HOT" on a single phase Motor.

Electric Phases for Hobart Oven

you must understand this : your electric oven must be indicate if it is a single phase( use 3 wires for 230 2 hot wires + 1 Neutral see the diagram like dryer? you must sure about this. Normally any appliance for home are single phase NOT 3 phase.

2) If you electric oven, say 3 PHASES( use 4 WIRES, 3 hot wires+1 Neutral wires) this for industrial application +comercial 270266c5-a0ad-44dc-9f40-e963255d47f5.jpgNOT for home

However if you system is 3 phase you must need to install 3phase transformer.ba1c9d4d-85e3-4744-8ce5-2f25c6e34ad3.jpg

DRYER: Switched a 3 prong to a 4 prong and heard a pop when pluged into the wall. I then noticed my hot and cold wire were mixed up. Fixed the switch and nothing works now. Breaker switched off and on many...

Hi - why did you convert the plugs in the first place? In elctricity theres no such term as hot or cold wires. Besides what do you mean by a 4 prong or 3 prong? electrical equipments are designed to operate on 3 pin single phase power or a 4/5 pin three phase systems.

the voltages in both systems are totally different pending on where you live - 110v or 230v for a single phase or 230v - 415v three phases.

A single phase cannot be converted to the three phases or vise versa unless you use sophisticated electronics to do so. Unless you know what you are doing you can modify the 3 pin to opertae safely on a 4 pin by choosing the correct conductors in relation to the three wire conductors in the 3 pin plug.

The sad story for you is this will be a rather expensive lesson - I wont be surprise if the extra voltage has zapped some of the components in your machine.

THE BEST ADVICE I CAN OFFER YOU RIGHT NOW IS TO EMPLOY THE SERVICES OF SOMEBODY TO HELP YOU OUT - ALTERNATIVELY AS YOU STATED "BUYING AN OVER $1000 DRYER"

I have a 3 phase electrical motor for my air compressor, How would i connect this from the air compressor pressure switch and towards the electrical source 120V? (for low volt)

If the electrical 120 volt source is single phase, the only way to run this motor is with a single phase to three phase converter. Best to sell the three phase motor and obtain a similar horsepower 120 volt single-phase capacitor-start motor (1750 RPM) for the compressor. You would also require a 3-phase pressure switch for use with the 3-phase motor. Hope this helps!
