It looks like you have 2 computers networked and printer is hooked up on the desktop and you want to be able to print from the laptop as well. With this in mind, first and foremost, you need to ensure that printer driver works and you are able to print when the printer is connected directly to either computer. Can you tell us what OS is running on the desktop and laptop?

Make sure to select the correct operating system. You can find that in the left side below the product image.

After that, select the driver in the list.

any usb printer cable should have the "home plate" shape connector for the printer. newer ones use an ethernet cable very common. use to hook up routers, etc called network cable
