Casio exilim ex-z60 turn camera on lens opens and closes makes clicking type noise then shows lens error n turns off
"lens error" will only be fixed by sending into repairs. 800-706-2534 and keep choosing option 2. Tell them you have a lens error and they will tell you where to send it.
so not a solution, you can fix this yourself. they just wasted time and money for an easy fix. sand can be removed with compressed air you get from radio shack, air that cleans keyboards.
the other person had their lens in a locked position, all they needed to do was manually turn the lens to put it back on track. sending stuff away is not what this site is about, you are supposed to give ALTERNATIVE methods of fixing things, anyone can send stuff to a repair center.
True Daran but if they have a warranty on the camera then if they do that it would void any remaining warranty that they had.

i took my camera to the beach the other day and im assuming a little bit of sand got in the lens. so now when i turn it on it makes this clicking kind of noise and then it shuts off. i can sometimes get it to where i can look at the pictures that i have taken but it wont let me take a picture. is there any solution to that instead of having to get another camera? thanks.
i had my camera in my hand and my frind turned around very quick and made my camera fall out of my hand.but i was in the car and it hit the floor.it was working perfectly fine after that but after a few days the noise and the lens error kept popping up and i dont know what to do.
Olympus d750 lens will open for a moment but camera won't operate, doesn't turn on.
My camera makes an electronic buzzing sound when I turn it on. It's similar to the sound of a fly caught in a light fixture. What causes it? Can it be corrected for less than the price of the camera?
