the same thing happend to mine, wot u have to do is take out the battery while the fone is on and leave it for 20 seconds, then put it back in, and it shud automatically come back on
the keyboard on the device isnt registering the key clicks because either the keyboard isnt pressing down all the way or the circuit board that the keyboard belongs to is malfunctioning. If it is that, parts for the phone is available on ebay.

put your phone screen faced up in rice
rice takes away moisture and leave it overniht this worked for me i tried reinstalling the software did not eork

if nothing is working, then you need to go to your carrier and either get it fixed or they might replace it... dont tell them its water damage though.
this isn't a solution. i am having the EXACT same problem. nothing is working. it shuts off for no reason. i didn't touch anything. and it keeps typing "25252525252525252525525" or "ededededededededed" by itself, even though i didn't have any water damage. i cannot click the trackball either but it moves. and i have restarted it so many times, but it still won't work. i also need help.
sounds like some liquid is in your phone? if so how long has the keyboard been inoperable and if its recent and it was liquid try rice...submerging in it for a couple days if it doesnt work hope you have insurance
Wipe it to start over. Sometimes when you change or add something like a THEME or a download it HOSES the BB completely. So delete what was on there and don't download a theme or any other wacky add-on.
