All VCR's have when turned on a mechanism that cycles in the unit-testing the loading/unloading mechanism----It will shut down instantly if a problem= broken belt, jammed or damaged mechanism etc.
Someone will need to open the unit and LOOK at the tray and loading mechanism---slipping or broken belt etc.
Remove main battery and power on, if no! check the power supply/charger for correct voltage, if okay! the dc jack in the laptop is often problem. The laptop at this stage will need to be dis-assembled down to the motherboard I recommend a pro for this section because of the complexity and soldering skills required.
The processor is over heating. I have a p-35 s6053 and it used to do the same thing until I fixed it.
Do the fans come on or anything when you first try to turn it on ??????
I'd bet the fans come on strong and then after about 5-60 seconds it just shuts off. let me know if i'm right and I can tell you how to fix it,
its usually the other way around iof the battery is fully charged. Light off when removed from the charger. Have you tried another charger? Especially try another battery if you have onje. It may be the battery itself is at fault.
I suggest taking the unit to a PC shop and have them check both the condition of the battery and the Connedction /charger unit
