Fuse and fuse holder needed for Behringer 3000 pmp mixer

The answer is "Not Much"... they upped the rating for power out and added 1000 to the model number... I don't know of any circuitry difference between them... it would probably be minor. Functionality is the same.

You don't need to use a ceramic fuse if one's not available. You can also use a glass cartridge fuse as well. Just be sure the rating is the same. Be aware, though, that fuses seldom blow on their own. Usually it's because something else has shorted. So don't be surprised if replacing the fuse only results in another blown fuse. Behringer stuff is notoriously cheap and under-protected, so by the time the fuse blows it's usually more trouble than it's worth trying to fix. Sorry, but the fuse "boat" is not readily available. You USUALLY have to buy the whole holder... the whole thing is around $3 from Digikey.com. Many are manufactured by SCHURTER.

Buy this kind pf fuse holder is very easy to install. But rememnber you have to desolder the old one, solder extension wire to the board and to the new fuse holder. Make sure the new fuse holder meets the standard of the old one. And of course can hold the right fuse for your machine.

Try Mouser electronics. Their website mouser.com is easy to navigate. The will ship just the one fuse if you need it. If you know the size and type of fuse they are usually the cheapest. You can also try Radio Shack. They also carry a large selection of fuses.

It sounds like you need just the fuse carrier...

The only way to get exact is to go through Behringer or get an exact part number and manufacturer.

Disassembling your unit to get at the part would be a lot of work. I have repaired three of these and am familiar with the unit.

DO NOT REPLACE A FUSE if it blows. You will do additional damage to the unit internally.

When these blow, there is damage inside that must be repaired before restoring power.

To get an exact replacement fuse holder it is best to get it from Behringer parts. This one has a switch in it depending on which way the fuse carrier is inserted.
