I just bought this TV and it shows a picture but it is gray. The menu items are in color but nothing else shows color.
Are you using component cables (red/green/blue)? Check your connections to see that they are all seated properly. When using component cables, if only the green is plugged in, it will give you a black and white picture. You will get color once you plug in the red and blue.
What kind of sources are you using? what kind of cables are you using? Need these kinds of specifics to ehlp you out.

I had my component cables hooked up wrong. Thank you so much for the help, I got it to working.

I have just connected an Olin HD set top box to my Sony Trinitron using the red white yellow cables, running through video channel, however get gray picture. Menu also in gray. However, when I switch back to analog and also the DVD colour displays!! Do I need another cable to get the colour? TV set to PAL. Have used the box on another tv and works fine, only difference is that I am now using an indoor aerial rather than outdoor.....
