I was sewing and all of a sudden it started to slow down and stopped. Have tried to sew again and sounds like it is jammed. I have taken machine apart and there is nothing visible that can be in the way. The needle did not break and there was no jam when it stopped. The knob will move some in both directions but will not make a complete turn.

Hello,
Please try removing the bobbin case and then move the wheel. It is very likely that the bobbin case came out of place and causing the machine to lock up.
Thanks,
Pat

SOURCE: the needle jams when i start sewing

Could be threaded wrong - check manual for proper threading
Needle could be bent - check and replace if needed
Needle plate could be damaged - see if any burrs are on it if so take to service dealer and have removed
Bobbin could be wound wrong - check manual

I have a Juki HZL 7800 computer sewing machine. I was sewing when it suddenly stops. I let it rest for 25 minutes, it worked but after a while it stopped again.

Make sure all working parts are lubricated sufficiently if not parts will overheat enough to jam ,once they cool down the machine will run again for a while but will most likely jam again

Motor runs, but machine won't sew. When I was sewing, all of a sudden, the machine slowed down more and more than quit. The motor still "whirred", but the machine would not sew. It sounded like a jam...

If the machine has sat for a long time it probably needs servicing. oil has a tendacy to break down and turn to varnish gluing everything together. a simple service should fix it, you can ship the machine to me and i can fix this problem. [email protected]

My singer touch & sew suddenly didn't stop

There might be something jamming the petal open so it won't slow or stop when you put your foot on it.. I would try that, get some canned air and blow it out and see if it helps.

Machine slows down, stops, starts again. Foot control problem?

Yes it does sound like a faulty foot control. The power cord is probably fine, you just need the controller. Ebay is a good source for parts.
