My Whirlpool quiet master 3 dishwasher is showing a series of simultaneous flashing green lights. china crystal
sensing soaking
washing
refill rinse aid
pushing any button has no effect. Is this an error code and if so can someone tell me what it means?

Have you disconnected it from the socket to try a reset? If not firstly try this, if flashing continues, please hold down the on/off button continuously for about 5-10 seconds during that time it will beep or flash but keep hold until this master resets the dishwasher, then try a normal cycle, this should then resolve this, unless the PCB board has gone wrong, in which case I would contact the maker of it is still under warrentee, if no warrentee then call a local repair person, most offer a free quote if you ask for one... Pushing and holding the 'Heated Dry' button should turn off the light over the padlock symbol and get you going again.

I ran into this same problem. Cutting the power didnt reset it.
After power reset, mine had the normal led blinking. If I pressed cancel, then the cancel and china button leds would start blinking too.
I pulled out the trouble shooting guide (from behind the baseboard kick panel under the dishwasher door). It that if the dishwasher wont run and button LEDs are blinking there is a short circuit in the keypad. It gave a keypad diagnostic sequence which I followed. (disconnect keypad and try to initiate the diagnostic cycle without the keypad by disconecting the yellow leads to OWI sensor twice in less than 6 seconds.
I could hear the diagnostic cycle start, so the problem is a bad keypad. Will order a new one tomorrow and let you know if it works.

You didn't mention the Brand and Model .
Most rinse aid pump works on a squeeze tube and if this tube crack or products a pin hole and it will not functioning. Try to shange this squeeze tube . God Bless have a nice day. Dickson

the cap doesn't come off, you just have to open the door all the way. then, when you pour the rinse aid into the dial area, it will get sucked into the dispenser. but if the door isn't open all the way it won't go anywhere and will overflow on you.
