There is a bolt item 8 below on the very end of the drive shaft that has to be removed before you can remove the pump assembly.

See page 16 item 8 of this Manual: (<-click and download

Then you should be able to remove the pump.

I have a K2400 HH pressure washer. When I started using the machine this year, the pressure would last for a moment or two than quit. When I would shut off the pressure and wait a few minutes and start...

sounds like a weak or worn out unloader valve spring.

You can find parts online through Karcher or Ebay if you wish.

I hope this helps!

REMOVE PUMP

Look for a black plastic cover with a silver snap on top; pry off the silver snap and lift off the plastic cover; next remove the two screws on the top plate then pull out the piston inside - if unable to lift out, start unit and watch it pop out - coat piston with lithium grease and reinstall.

The sticking pressure relief valve is somewhat common with the Karcher 2400HH series pressure washer, it is caused by hard water and lack of grease on the pressure relief valve. To remedy the problem, use silicone (plumbers) grease to lube the o-rings on the unloader valve part# 4591040 (karcher calls it a spill valve on the parts list) You can click on the link below for more help. A helpful note, if you store your pressure washer for long periods of time, than you should draw anti-freeze into the pump for storage... make a short 2' garden hose and connect it to the inlet of the pump, with a funnel stuffed into the end, poor anti-freeze into the hose and start the engine, this will draw the solution into the pump and protect it from corrosion and keep all internal parts lubricated (plus keep the pump from freezing).

No pressure / Karcher G 2400 HH

Hi ruthkapres:
Here is a diagram. The unloader/spill valve is #12 on page D2 or F2 depending on your model. You must pull it out, inspect the o-rings for dents or tears and make sure the valve is lubricated with a good water proof lubricant.

Removing unloader valve

If you can't get it out with needle nose pilers try turning the garden hose pressure on and the water should pop it out.

Karcher K2400 pump is cycling on and off during operation

if this is occers when at rest it could be the pump non retern valve, witch will be just in side tghe machines outlet behine the chemical injector, you will need to unscrew the injector and the valve sits behind it, if this happens when at use it could be a blocked nozzle
