I ran the webupdater and spent all day downloading software.

I am using with a Nokia 6220 and a Cardo Scala Teamset.

ON placing a call it drops out and randomly drops the bluetooth connection.

Cardo works with phone directly so pretty sure its not a headset or phone problem.

Phone works fine in car mount in the car ....any ideas ?

I have this problem since 1 year with a blackberry 8830 and now with a IPhone. Garmin seems not good with bluetooth interface (I tried every Garmin update, no one works).

Have you connected the device to the computer and run webupdater? Mine showed up with a bluetooth firmware upgrade. Bluetooth works fine, however, lost the functionality of the phonebook after the update. Sometimes you win sometimes you loose

Not pairing with other devices

Have you turned blue tooth settings on your phone? Also you can pair your phone if the Bluetooth is working. Otherwuse you may be out of range. If that does not work have someone else try the bluetooth to eliminate the problem is with your phone.

Tomtom 930 will not pair with Interphone 4

Sadly, it's not possible to do what you want.

The lower cost, non bike specific units only have limited BT capability - so that they can act as a handsfree for a phone - which is what Interphone does, so there's fundamental incompatibility.

The best units with Interphone are Garmin Zumo 550 (NOT 660) or TomTom Rider 2.

Only one person can hear the gps (and the range is only 10m from Interphone to gps)

Your best bet could be to get phones with gps capability - it's free on some of the new Nokias.

Can't get existing bluetooth headset to work with new phone

I had that problem when I changed handsets. You need to:
  1. ensure the bluetooth setting is turned on on the handset
  2. switch on the scala 500
  3. press and hold the scala 500 power button until the red and blue lights are both flashing (you have to hold the button in for quite a few seconds)
  4. now you can search for new bluetooth devices from your handset and it should find it to enable you to connect

Can't end Bluetooth phone call with Zumo 550

I have a motorola phone, and it's fine.
I have paired the phone to the zumo, and the phone is set to connect to the zumo automatically.
Check the phone is set up this way, and all should be well.
Hope this helps.

Volume

I had a similar problem when I first connected my Cardo Scala Rider set to the helmet. First off, make sure that the volume on the Zumo is set to 100% for BOTH guidance and mp3 functions. Then click the upper control on the Cado Scala to maximize the volume of the headset. When you've accomplished those two electronic hurdles, adjust the location of the speakers in the helmet - if location of the speakers is not optimized nothing you do with the electronics will have much effect. I typically run the mp3 volume at 20% and the GPS at 50% with the headset volume at halfway. My Cardo Scala unit is a Teamset and I sometimes have problems hearing my rider scream that I'm going too fast. I haven't bothered yet to tell her to keep the microphone closer to her lips.

Connection problem between a nokia n95 8gb and zumo 550

I have recently purchased a Zumo 550 and successfully copied across selected phone book entries from a Nokia N95 without the need to use any additional apps:-

1) Assuming the N95 and Zumo are paired via BlueTooth
2) In N95 Contacts - use 'Mark' / 'Mark All' as necessary to select the contact entries you wish to transfer to the Zumo 550
3) In N95 Contacts - select 'Options' then 'Send Business Card' then 'Via Bluetooth'
4) Select the Zumo 550 device from the list of paired Bluetooth devices
5) Contact data is transferred from N95 phonebook to Zumo 550 phonebook

Interestingly, Garmin don't seem to list the Nokia N95 as being a supported device on their website, but the above process worked for me!!
