Sony Ericsson C905 placed near magnet now showing "Inactive sim"

Ok so i placed a magnet nexty to my phone (sony ericsson C905).stupid i no but to my relief the phone seemed to be fine within the next hour the phone came up with inactive sim and has shown it ever since. it is not the sim card as it works in other phones. i have tried a master reset from within the phones fucnctions i tried an update from the official sony ericsson website and finally i tried flashing the firmware.

although flashing the firmware did bring my provider up the ability to call or message was not available and soon dissapeared only to be replaced with inactive sim.

what is really ticking me off is the fact that the sim always has constant signal even though it is inactive and it is also possible to pull data such as contacts from the sim pointing towards it not being a hardware problem but if its not hardware, software, firmaware or the sim im at a complete loss.

just to make clear the sim and phone are fully functional except for the inactive sim dilema
