If the phone earphone sound is already the highest but you are hearing it low, you might want to change the speaker.

How do I turn up audio volumn side button says its full up still can't hear

Do you have the phone on speaker or the earphone? There are differnet volume adjustments for speaker vs. in ear vs. the headphones. If one is really quiet, try one of the other ways to see if it is an issue with a speaker, or an issue with the phone?

I can hear callers but they cannot hear me. Mute is not engaged,

Please see the link below for the User's Guide.

• Headset is muted. Long press (3 sec.) the volume down button on headset to unmute the microphone. See page 16.
• Improper positioning of voice tube. Try various other positions.
• Voice tube may be clogged. Remove voice tube and test to see if callers can hear you without it. If they can, then replace the clogged voice tube. See page 18.
• Speaking volume is too low. Increase the speaking volume by
adjusting the speaking volume minor adjust buttons on the base unit as described on page 16. If the volume is still too low, select another speaking volume major adjust setting as described on page 16.
• Incorrect configuration dial setting for your phone. Try other
phone configuration dial settings on the base unit. Ensure the
selected number is in line with the position indicator. See page 14.

I can't hear the caller - volume far too low. Have tried everything to increase it and now have new batteries, but still too low.

It ispossible that the speaker is faulty , connect a headphone and check if the volume is good on a call . If so the earphone speaker is faulty and must be changed.

Low volume on calls. cannot hear caller unless i'm in an absolutely quiet room. I have the master volume at max. also, the flash is so bright that the pics i take are overexposed. Can i shut the flash off...

Hello,

for the low volume, the fault is from the earpiece. Trust me, I faced this same problem and when I changed the ear piece, I began to hear calls clearly.

You could also get a earphone and use it to receive and make call pending the time you get the earpiece fixed. Earphone will even be much louder.

Concerning the flash, do some adjustment settings as you rightly suggested.

I wish you the best.

Kenwood KDC-BT838U -- Low audio on incoming phone calls only.

Patrick -
I have the reverse problem.  Callers can hardly hear me. I saw a setting in the headunit that allows you to specify where the audio plays for incoming calls.  You can choose the Left Front Speaker, the Right Front Speaker or Both.  Check the manual and make sure its set to both.

Callers say they cannot hear me

Yes it very well could be your phone lines and not the system. Call your provider and tell them you have low speech path on your lines. They will troublshoot it.
