Pull the key out of the plug or key switch. There is a freewheel/brake release lever sticking out of the top or back of your scooter on the driver's right hand side. Push this handle the opposite way it is now and try the scooter. If this does not work, repeat the steps above. It is important to do this with the key out of the unit or it will not reset.

The error lite on Buzzaround Lite scooter flashing

5 flash code is the electro magnetic Brake. This is referring to the brake on the motor that can be released by the freewheel lever.

1. place the freewheel lever into the free wheel position. Ensure the scooter is in free wheel and move the scooter forwards and backwards a few times.

2. Place the freewheel lever in drive position, push on scooter to ensure it is in drive and does not move. Turn on key and press the throttle. If you have the same code again, call a technician to check the brake, chances are it needs replaced.

The led flashes 9 times

9 flashes indicates a problem with the parking brakes. Check to make sure the brakes are engaged and the chair is not in freewheel. there may be a bad connection at the left and right motor connections and brake wiring. Check these connectors for separation and loose, corroded contacts. Reset the error code by turning the chair off and back on once you think you have corrected the problem. Hope this helps

How do l fix the brakes for CTM HS 250 Mobility Scooter?

hi, the error is covers a number of issues however the brake is one of them.

Now check the wiring of the brake from the controller, if you have a electrical meter disconnect the brake and take a reading, it should read about 35 to 50 ohms on your meter set on lowest resistance reading.

Now if the reading is out this range , this could well be the problem,

If it's not check the connection to the controller. If there is a microswitch fitted check that making a connection.

I have an electric mobility scooter 302Le that is fully charged but will not run. The lights and horn all work but the scooter will not move. The led light in the control box flashes five times. Can you...

Barb the flashes indicate a brake problem. Make sure that you aren't in freewheel. Move the freewheel lever located at the rear of your scooter up and down a few times then put it in drive mode and turn the scooter on and see if you still get 5 flashes If so you will have to replace the brake assembly Hope this helps

LED Flashes 5 times - Brake in freewheel or brake connection problem. How can I fix this?

Brake in freewheel means that your scooter is not fully in gear, it must be 'set in the engaged (Fully forward) position.' See page 24 of the manual for your model, (Link below to the pdf if you need it) but if its anything like mine it just didn't click in properly. Roll it back and forward a few inches, and it should 'click' like the seat in the car when you change its position. If freewheel is not the problem (if it can't be rolled and is definately in gear) check all plugs and cords are tight in sockets, you may have a brakes problem. In this event it must be looked at by an expert. Stay safe!

Have augriga scooter no drive no free wheel flashes five times fully gharged

According to the invacare website, you have a Dynamic Rhino main control box fitted to this scooter. 5 flashes would mean a brake fault. There is usually a small switch located on the brake (which is fitted to the end of the motor). The switch is operated by a lever fitted on the brake. These are sometimes at fault and changing this switch may cure your problem. You mention that you cannot freewheel the scooter. Is there an electronic freewheel on these or a lever as mentioned above? If its a lever, and you still cannot move the scooter, the brake will have seized and will require replacement. If its electronic, the fault would almost certainly be with the wiring or freewheel switch. As with most scooter problems, they can be difficult to diagnose without seeing them, but hopefully I have pointed you in the right direction. If it came into our shop, the above mentioned is where I would start to look for the problem. Hope this helps...
