First I will want you to know that support for win98 has long reached end of life. I don't think that win98 support mass storage unit of that capacity. I will suggest you opgrade your os to winXP
What type of Computer are you installing this 80g drive on? How old is it? I need to know some specifics, because in older machines the BIOS are not setup to recognize large capacity HD, in addition you may have recieved a bad Drive. Please advise! I may have an answer for you!
