SOURCE: How can i reset my Linksys Wireless-G2.4GHZ Broadband Router settings

Try to reset the router. This should resolve your problem. That model has a small hole were you must press with some a paper clip for exemple for a few seconds. This will reset the router to its original state.

If you use DSL I would also check to make sure you are not being port blocked by your ISP. Some will block you if you exceed bandwidth on a particular port rather than throttling you or shutting you down entirely.

SOURCE: How do i change my NAT connection from moderate to open

This one is simple. Find the IP address that your Xbox is assigned by your router, then put it into the DMZ. This also goes for PS3 users who are having trouble with internet access.

SOURCE: Change NAT to open

Go to your router admin panel and into advanced settings and set UPnP (Universal Plug'n'Play) to enable. If that doesn't work then manuallyopen the ports on the IP assigned to your Xbox. Opening NAT all the way is never a good thing. it opens you up for attacks. So with the above mentioned solution, either way, you should game on well!! Go forth and frag!!

SOURCE: How to configure Huwaei MT880 with linksys WRT120N router?

Try these steps:

  1. Shut down the DSL/Cable modem
  1. Power up the router (no cables just yet).
  1. Power up the modem and wait for the appropriate lights (power, ethernet, and activity – something along these lines)
  1. Connect the modem and router with an ethernet cable (if there is a WAN port on the router make sure to put the cable in this port).
  1. Connect Port 1 on the router to the network card on the computer using an ethernet cable and check to see there is a light at the correct port.
  1. Open a web browser, such as Internet Explorer or Firefox. Input your routers id (usually an IP address or an URL) in the browsers address bar and press Enter. The address bar is where you would normally see, for example, http://www.google.ca If you don't know the IP address (such as 192.168.1.1) or the URL, try going to the manufacturers web site and downloading a manual.
  1. Now, a window will open asking for a user name and password (these are given to you in the instructions of the router). For example, Dlink sets up some of their routers as, username: admin and leave the password field blank then press OK.
  1. Now you are in the configuration page of your router (wireless most probably). Here you can set the encryption, new passwords etc… If your not comfortable doing these on your own most routers have a wizard that you can follow.
  1. If everything goes alright and the settings are successful you can now try the wireless connection. Go to a machine with a wireless card, right
  1. At the computer with the wireless connection, make sure the connection is on You might be trying to connect to the network by using either the application that came with the router or windows wireless configuration. Right click the icon in the system tray and “view available networks”. If it comes up in a window saying “Windows is not setup for wireless networks” then you must right click on the correct icon in the tray.
  2. Now, in the list of available networks, click on the name of your network Click on "connect" and it should ask for your security id (the encryption code). Put in the code (usually twice) and click connect or OK. It should now be "acquiring anip address" and in a few minutes it should be connected.

Hello,

I have heard of this happening before. You are reset to level 1 with negative XP and this stops you from playing online. Your only option is to contact Activision and possibly Microsoft.

I have read that the companies like to blame each other for the problem. So, when you call Activision, make sure they help you or speak to a supervisor if necessary.

You just got ripped off. Who told you to get more memory? Red lights indicate hardware failure, not insufficient memory. in fact, this problem sounds suspiciously similar to the rrod on the original 360.

I have an xbox with xbox live subscribtion and i have sattelite internet. I was told if i got a netgear router i might be able to play xbox live? Is this true?

Actually, just about any newer router will do the job. You can either connect the Xbox console via the Ethernet port on the back or through the Xbox Wireless Network Adapter which you can find at any video game store.
The ethenet cable is the cheaper option as it will only cost you about $3 but your Xbox will need to be close to your computer. The WiFi adapter is about $50 and will allow you to use your Xbox 360 on Xbox Live in other rooms of your house.

What are the steps to hooking up your xbox 360 wireless network adapter

Hello

Plug the wireless USB adapter into the USB port on the back of the Xbox 360 console.

Turn on your Xbox 360 console.

The console will recognize the wireless adapter and will walk you thru the wireless network setup. Be sure to have your WEP key (if encryption is used) for your router before you start this process.

This adapter works well - I am using one and regularly play Modern Warfare 2 with multiple chat sessions. There is no noticable difference between my wired network connection and this wireless network connection.

Happy gaming!

Hello! Good to see the old generation of gamers, breeding a young :)

The 360 has some rather neat parental controls. It's called family settings. Here is the details of it, how to set it, etc.

Good luck!

And remember, you were a kid too once.

I want to play oddworld on my 360 it is an xbox

This is not the case. Microsoft has not converted all games over from the original xbox, to have the ability to play them on the 360. On the Xbox website there is a list of compatible games that can be use on the 360. Here is the link. http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/backwardscompatibility.htm I hope this helps.

Why cant i play any xbox games on my xbox 360

There could be a few reasons:

1: The game is not able to be played on the xbox 360. Only certain games can be played on the xbox 360. Go to http://support.xbox.com/support/en/us/xbox360/askxbox.aspx and type in "original xbox games". It should pop up with a list of games that can be played on the xbox 360.

2: Your family settings do not allow you to play original xbox games. Go to the control panel and look at the settings.

Link Your Console to Another Console

Console-to-Console Connection: Wireless Some Xbox games offer console-to-console, or system-link, play, in which two or more players (depending on the game) can wirelessly network their consoles for multiplayer use. Console-to-console wireless networks are also known as ad-hoc networks. In ad-hoc networks, a wireless adapter on one device connects directly to a wireless adapter on another device. An Internet connection isn't shared with this type of network, and the console-to-console connection is typically temporary. For console-to-console play, you need: Two Xbox 360 consoles. Two Xbox 360 Wireless Networking Adapters. An Xbox 360 game that supports system link play. To wirelessly connect your console to another console: Attach an Xbox 360 Wireless Networking Adapter to the back of each console as described in Use Your Xbox 360 Wireless Networking Adapter. On each console, go to the System area to enter your network settings. (They will be the same for each console.) If all settings are correct, exit the System area. The consoles should now be wirelessly connected to each other.
