Hi. Many scooters will display this fault code if the potentiometer is not exactlly centred when you turn on the key. The pot is not always faulty. Some scooters also have a smaller additional pot to controll the speed. If this pot is faulty it will cause the same fault code. Any other switches such as indoor/ outdoor switches. I have had a few machines fitted with curtis controllers where the fault is in the controller.
Check the wiring and plugs and connectors.
Good luck. Neil.

Golden companion II full charge turn key on press lever to go forward it dont move hear clicking sound green light on dash blinks

John count the number of flashes by the green light and it will be the fault code indicating the problem Your owners manual should list the fault codes to be able to determine what the problem is. Ie 4 blinks pause 4 blinks pause. The clicking you hear is the electric brakes being engaged. Hope this helps

Drove a few minutes, parked the next day it would not move, charged batteries, still nothing it is giving code 8

According to the owner's manual, you have a motor problem. To further diagnose and verify the problem you would need a digital voltmeter to check the motor. An experienced technician can do the necessary checks and order/replace the motor if necessary.

8 Flashes

• Indicates a motor voltage problem.

• Your scooter will not operate until the problem is corrected.

Remedy: Contact your authorized Golden Technologies, Inc. dealer.

Hope this helps.

Reversing thumb controls

Your authorized Golden Technologies, Inc. dealer can reverse the thumb lever controls so that when you push on the “left” lever, your scooter will move in the forward direction, and pushing on the “right” lever will move your scooter in reverse.

If you don't want to go to a dealer, any mechanic who is willing can make this adjustment for y ou. hope this helps.
