in fact my 2010 Grand Cherokee, you can not DIY program any keys, but my 2008 JK you can do programming , zero tools.
if you exceeded 8 keys, the dealer or (top key smith)
must erase them first
on the 2010, its now mandatory to erase all keys lost.
lost keys are like that, dangerous....

why not post what you drive first
each year and model varies
the glove box guide tells you ,what you can do
lost that?

This may or may not work as my manuals are for the 9xx series but not the 950. Press PROGRAM
to erase press PAUSE and either the BUTTON or LOWER BUTTON (2 keys).

To store a new number, PROGRAM then dial the number you want saved (or press REDIAL) then the BUTTON or (LOWER BUTTON).

I'm guessing this will work, since the other models seem to program the same way.

To change a stored number you just follow the initial instructions, namely:

1. Press the STORE button. ENTER TEL. NO. is displayed.

2. Use the keypad to enter the phone number. If you
want to add spaces instead of dashes in the number,
it will dial correctly.
• To scroll forward or backward, use NEXT or
PREVIOUS.
• To erase the current digit, press ERASE.

3. When finished, press STORE. ENTER NAME is
displayed.

4. Use the keypad to store a name (up to 16 characters).
More than one letter or character is available in each
of the number keys. For example, to enter the letter
“A,” press the 2 key once. For a “B,” press the same
key twice. For a “C,” press it three times.
• To add a space, press NEXT.
• To scroll forward or backward, use NEXT or
PREVIOUS.
• To erase the current digit, press ERASE.

5. When finished, press STORE. MEMORY LOCATION is
displayed.

6. Press the memory location number (0-9 or A, B, C) to
store the number.
