Its depend upon the servers of reliance when they are empty they will give you the speed of 600kbps
when the rush is more they give you less speed
thats the solution

I had taken airtel net connection in dec 2010 and they had said that the downloading speed would be 65 to 70 kbps but after 2 months i m getting only 35 to 40 kbps dowloading speed what should i do??

complain to the provider. If they promised you that speed they should provide it. However the chances are your connection is not capable of higher speed.
I hope I have been of help but please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
I appreciate your vote if you appreciate my reply.

"peaking at 3.1" is the highest possible data transfer rate of the device. however, the transfer capabilities are usually set by your internet provider. you should contact you provider to know if they allow the transfer rates your device can manage.

MTNL Dial up low speed internet

One thing to know while choosing internet plans is that the speed offered is in kb not kB. There is a huge difference between these two values. Small b stands for bits whereas capital B is byte which we know. the computer shows speed in bytes not bits so your 2 KBps is equal to 20kbps. Because you are using cd-ma connection you will need to operate from a area where you can find powerful network to utilize your full 144kbps that is 14.4 KBps.
Sorry the only solution is changing your plan to a higher speed one..

Dear yohwayne

The ISP service TADAUST is offering this particular plan for broadband.

TAD Super
256 / 64 kbps
12 GB
$29.95

The reason that I am telling you this is because the download speed required for voip service is at least 512/512 kbps (estimate an average 300/300 kbps (30kilobytes/per second) to make it work from your end to the other and backwards) If the speed is not enough the line will suffer cuts and breakouts.

Therefore even if we set this system up it may be too slow to be able to have any functionality for telephony service.

Can you please verify with me that this is the plan you own?

Many regards
EngineerGR
