Our earthquake 43cc cultivator won't start. it has new gas and oil first time this year trying to use. we knoticed the blades won't turn could this be the problem every thing looks like the way we had it last year.

I would check your fuel first. Replace fresh fuel, check fuel filter if equipped, check fuel line to not be clogged. When trying to start make sure fuel is getting to carb. If after checking all the above, it still doesn't start, I would check the spark. Make sure you are getting a spark, clean and or replace spark plug. Best of luck.
I have the same issue, I thought it was the carburetor so I cleaned it and put it back together, same issue, I put a new carburetor on it same issue, has great spark, if I spray carb cleaner into it, it will start and run for a few seconds even throttle up, but then it dies, and will not start again without carb cleaner spray, and fuel is fresh and properly mixed, very confusing indeed.
me too...does your engine get abnormally hot? My F-I-L says mine's a bad carburetor. $60 replacement + shipping. I may give it a try...sad though...I don't think I have more than 3 hours run time on this stupid thing. (MC43)
