How can I change the number of rings?

I can't seem to get the ringer off of 2 rings to my extension at my phone. Does anyone know the feature I need to change this? I have not been able to find it in the manual, though it seems like it should be a simple answer.

  • SSSSPRO May 20, 2008

    Yes, the phone only rings 2 times before going to voicemail.
    The other solution above does not help my specific problem.

Not sure what you are asking. Are you saying your phone only rings twice before going to voicemail?

I do not know how to turn the ringer on

Changing ringing on a Partner system is done on either ext 10 or 11.
At one of those ext's press the feature key and "00"
Next press the left hand intercom twice
The display should say system programming

Press the right hand intercom once. The display should say Centralized Programming.

Enter in the extension number that you want to program.

Press the line that you want to ring.
A solid light on the line means immediate ringing
A slow flashing light means delayed ringing (meaning the phone will wait 3 rings before starting to ring.)
A fast flashing light means no ringing.

When finished with that station press the right hand intercom and enter in the next extension to program and set ringing accordingly.

Press feature "00" to logout

Want to turn the ringer off unless receiving a transfer.

This feature determines how each outside line or pool assigned to an extension rings. You can specify Immediate Ring, Delayed Ring (telephone rings after a 20-second delay), or No Ring. Delayed Ring is useful for backup coverage on shared lines or pools, such as for secretaries who cover each other’s lines. No Ring is useful for all extensions except 10 when an operator answers all calls, or for telephones with no regular users, such as those in conference rooms. To change the way outside lines or pools ring at an extension:
To change the way outside lines or pools ring at an extension: 1 Press "Feature" , "00", "System Program ", "Central Tel Program" at extension 10 or 11.
2 Enter the number of the extension to be programmed for Line Ringing. The green lights next to the line or pool buttons show the current Line Ringing settings for all lines or pools assigned to the extension. (If a line or pool is not assigned to a button, the green light next to that button is off.) The following ringing options can be shown by the green light next to the line or pool button: • Immediate Ring — on steady • Delayed Ring — flashes slowly • No Ring — flutters quickly • Immediate Ring is the factory setting for lines; No Ring is the factory setting for pools.
3 Press the line or pool button until the button light shows the correct setting (the setting for the currently selected line or pool also appears on the display).
4 Continue programming, or exit programming mode.

How do i turn the ringer off of a phone

Ok, gotca.... no ringing at your set, as the title states.

First you need to know the extension of the phone that you want to change. Feature 0 at the phone and hit the intercom key to ensure that we are programming the right phone.

To get into programming press:
-> FEATURE 2 6 6 3 4 4
-> Password: 2 6 6 3 4 4
Now you will have to look at your LCD for 3 arrows
<- Heading..Enter->
<- Back .......Next->

-> you will now see TERMINALS&SETS and press Enter (the top right arrow key) now put in the extn that you want to change.
-> you should now see the extension number of the set and the name that is associated with it, press Enter (the top right arrow key) again
-> now you will see LINE ACCESS and press Enter (the top right arrow) again then LINE ASSIGNMENT and hit Enter again
-> then you will see Show line:____ and hit Scan the scan button
-> it will show something like L002: Appr&Ring now press CHANGE till it says Unassigned
-> keep hitting Scan till all the lines are found, DO NOT REMOVE ANY NUMBERS ABOVE 145, as these are your target lines for your Direct phone numbers (these numbers above 145 may not be there, but just incase)
-> after you find all the Lines, you now hit RLS to back out of programming.

Voila, your phone will not ring anymore except when you receive a direct call to your set -or- via your direct number if you have one.

CHANGE THE TIME/DATE AND TURN THE RINGER ON

You have to use the feature 9 # from the administrators phone (usually extension 100)
Go to extension 100, press "feature,9,#" and you'll see the numbers on your display blinking like a digital alarm clock. Enter the time and then press feature to complete.
