Go to www.appliancepartspros.com and put in your model number. They sell new parts. Belts is around $10. Now the hard part trying to install it. This site will also give you a breakdown of the dryer and you can see how to get to the belt. GE pretty muck whole dryer has to be taken apart. Note when removing the front, hold drum in place and put something under it to hold it from falling. You will probably have to remove it anyway to get belt around it.

GE dryer turns on but doesn't spin

Probably nothing but a broken belt. Ge dryers can be tricky. Most of them cannot be accessed from the rear anymore. Lots of videos on youtube now that show how to replace a dryer belt on a GE dryer.

My dryer wont start but the light turns on

Here is a list of things to check:
1) Is the door switch broken? When you push it do hear a click?
*****You will have to remove the top for the next step****
2) Is the belt broken? This will stop the motor from turning on because if the belt breaks, the idler pulley will actuate the motor kill switch.
3) Was there any type of smell, particularly hot, electrical smell?

I HAVE A GE DRYER THE MOTOR SHUTS OFF WHEN YOU RELEASE THE START BUTTON AND THE DRUNM WONT ROTATE

there's a broken belt switch connected to the belt idler pulley,(when this belt breaks the switch opens) located down by the motor and it kills the power to the dryer when the belt breaks so the heating element cant get the clothes too hot to burn the clothes when the drum cannot rotate properly

Broken drum belt

Some large hardware stores like Home Depot stock them. Most appliance parts stores sell to the general public. Marcone appliance parts in St. Louis will sell mail order. Have the model and serial Number available. I always replace belt , idler pulley and back support wheels together. They usually go bad about the same time. I'll bet that the dryer is pretty loud isn't it. The support rollers usually cause the belt to break or a stiff pully. Total parts cost is under 50 dollars
