Lost directions for GE clock 7-4837B - how do I turn off the alarm?
Press the Cancel button located on the top of the alarm clock (the light next to the wake mode indicator on the front of the clock should start flashing). Then press the WAKE Mode button on the top of the device. The wake mode indicator on the front should now be off and the alarm deactivated.
To turn the alarm back on, simply press the WAKE Mode button on the top of the device.
There's at least one other way to turn the alarm back on: changing the alarm time. In trying to turn the alarm off, I got frustrated because after I tried something, I was setting the wake time forward a few minutes to test it. Finally I realized that after resetting the wake time, I had to do that business of pressing the Cancel button and then the Wake Mode button again.
This applies to model 7-4887b also

Found the answer at the following site:

on the top left side is a cancel button. hit it and while the alarm light is blinking, hit the button below cancel that switches the mode from ring to radio. the alarm light will go OFF. I just tried it and it worked PERFECTLY!!
Take a large hammer. Strike clock dead square center on top of unit. Repeat until alarm quits!!.
P.S. This works on other appliances that were designed to be "less" user freindly.
To turn off alarm so it does not ring daily, press and release the "cancel" button, then press and release the appropriate adjacent button to turn off alarm 1 or alarm 2.

How do you turn off the alarm so that it doesn't go off daily?
can't figure out how to cancel the alarm so it doesn't go off daily.
i'd like to get my hands around the neck of the engineer who designed the thing.
pressed all the buttons to no avail.
