SOURCE: Input

Use a RF Modulator. This will allow you to connect the dvd to the antenna jack of the tv.

SOURCE: Can't change our Panasonic TV channel to watch DVD input

Buy a 21 way scart. This will have an 'AV' enable connection built in. After fitting, turn on the TV, then turn on the DVD player. It will automatically enable the DVD through the scart socket.

SOURCE: AV input selection without a remote

Depending on the model of the tv, you could scroll ch dn past ch 2 and you should cycle through your inputs. if that doesn't work try holding down the two vol buttons on the tv. that could access the menu for the tv

SOURCE: AV input selection without a remote

I had the same problem. I hooked up the DVD player and then got into the set up. I used the add/erase feature to go through all of the channels. At channel 91, I saw the logo for the dvd player. I added that channel and now the dvd player works.

How do I change the input without a remote for an old Sylvania TV model #SST4191? There is no input option when I push menu on the front of the TV

From the instructions I have seen there is a button on its remote called "game" which triggers the input command my only thought is on older tv's selecting 0 got there but this "game" may exist via the front button if so select that and see what happens next, pressing "game" after is to exit.
I would have thought a remote may exist as I have seen another make TV with similar looks around, try ebay or Amazon or some £2-3 cheepo multi remote you may get lucky, though you would have to try all its codes which on most at that price is about 200 or so out of may thousands, find an older version it will have more period aged codes.
Sorry not much help ..............

How to change input on tv without a remote

Which TV do you have? Some will have an Input or Source button on the front panel. A few will have an option to change the source from the menu. Both of these options require the front panel lock to be inactive.

A few older TVs allowed you to find the A/V input by pressing Channel Down on the front panel buttons until you passed channel 2 (or Channel Up until you nearly reached Channel 2). This option wouldn't work if the A/V inputs had been deleted when someone minimized going through unused channels.

If the Source or Input button was only available on the remote, you will need a universal remote that includes this feature. These cost a bit more than the lowest end remotes. Then you will have to try all of the codes to find the one that makes the Source button work with your TV. (Several codes may work for On/Off but not the change input.) The Universal remotes that can be programmed from a computer (USB connection) will be the easiest to set up. Remotes.com may have a replacement original or substitute remote for your TV that should work for all of the TV functions.

I hope this helps. Please add a comment with the TV make and model for specific options for your particular TV.

(low end TVs usually only had the Source/Input button on the remote.)

Mitsubishi big screen HD 1080 series model WS-55809. it switched off one day. and when i turn it back on it switches right back off. red light in front. what part do i need to fix it/

That model does not have a red light---Green.

If set powers up for a few seconds (green power light) and goes out do the self check the model indicated has:

On front of set (not with remote) press and hold both the input and menu buttons for at least 5 seconds and release both.

Green power light will blink a two digit error code like 2 blinks, 2 blinks a pause and repeat it several times.

Let me know what error code you find (if you have unplugged the set that will clear all errors and you have to plug it in and try to turn set on again---when it fails do the self check)

Hello my name is yogesh my leptop model is studio1555 and the problem is how to remove hdd password on my leptop because i set password but this password are not work and after 3 times you rong password...

you'll need to contact Dell support for this one. they will be able to help you request a password that you can use to reset/clear the hard drive password. After it is reset, you may then set a new hard drive password if preferred. Be sure that you have the ownership information of the system in order to get help from Dell about this issue.

Inputs do not work after power outage

The set has three ways to reset---the tiny button on the front, A second is called a soft reset, and the third requires going into the tech Menu with a code via the remote.

Try the soft reset first and let me know if it helps.

With the set on hit: Menu, 1, 2, 3, and enter.

How do i get my tv on to the av channels without a remote

The short answer is you can't. Most sets now require the remote control, which has a "source" or "input" button that you need to press. To make matters worse, a universal remote often (usually, in fact) won't have the right codes to switch inputs. There are vendors selling original replacement remotes, but they can be pretty costly.

The longer answer is that on a few TVs you might find a source selection through the on-screen menus. If your set has front panel menu control. Some do, but often the functions are very limited. On a few models of RCA sets you could switch to AV inputs using special channel numbers (00, 98 or 99) but these were older models made when cable systems had fewer channels.

Without knowing your brand and model I can't tell you more. But it's almost certain you'll need a remote. Hopefully you can find a universal remote that will work for you.

Locked out of older Mitsubishi VS4503R. Need owners manual/help!

If you are locked out of the inputs, you need a original Mits remote. Push QV and the 9 button simultaneously to unlock temporarily. Some models its the SQV button and 9. This will let you get in to change the code. You can also get a simmilar issues with the active AV network turned on, it will lock it to a set input (ie input 1). Try going into the menu and turning the av network off.
