It should be printed on the motherboard itself. if not, go google emachine t6520 front panel connections.

This is not a photo of your motherboard. Please use it as a general guide on what to look for on your motherboard. Most brand name systems will have the connector pins placef on the edge of the motherboard that is closest to where the wires coming from the power button are being routed. Pay attention to a set of pins that equal the amount of connection wires you have. When you see it, look around the pins and you will see etchings that describe which wire goes on what pin.
NOTE: Please remove the AC cord from the computer and that all keyboard, mouse, video, network cable and usb slots are disconnected and empty. Do not power the pc until you are certain you have matched the connectors to the right pins.

Problem with panel front conector in Dell Dimension 2200 motherbo

The following information is to assist you in performing the right connections. You should take precautionary measures such as grounding yourself and completely disconnecting the PC form any source of power.

This picture shows the connector for the front panel power button, reset button, and power and hard disk lights: an 8x2 pin connector with 1 pin missing:

0505a76.jpg
The table below lists the pinouts for the connector. The orientation of this table is the same as the picture above, this shows the top part of the connector. All the pins below pin 8 appear to be non-connected.

f07048e.jpg

Each pair of pins labeled Power and Reset goes to the 2 wires for the corresponding button. The hard disk and power LED wires connect to the corresponding LEDs, you need to ensure the proper polarity of the + and - wires for each LED or it will not illuminate.

The above information is for your information only.

Configuration

Hi

The wires that read +5 -d +d and ground those are USB connectors each usb connector will have 4 wires, +5 -d +d and ground so that goes to usb pins.

The sw must be power switch
The HDD led is the load light
Reset is the reset button
Power led is the front power light
SPK is the speaker / beeper.

Can you tell me the brand and model of the motherboard? They are documented in the user manual. but generally in the bottom right corner of the motherboard you have the connectors for the leds and buttons, its all written into the motherboard with small white text. but I can get clear instructions from the user manual for you.

You can look for the motherboard details between the expansion slots and between the cpu and memory.

Thanks,
Ekse

Hooking my Neo4 mobo back up.

Hi weeman105, case wire colors do vary from case to case. The most common case wire colors for negative are "white & black". All other colors like blue, green, red orange are most commonly "positive". The four pin connector with only the ends with wires is the internal speaker. Most boards use one set of pins where you hook everything up. The MSI K8N Neo4-F uses two separate motherboard pins, Front Panel Connectors: JFP1 & JFP2 as shown on the top page 2-19. Now that you know what color is positive & which is negative things should work out just fine.
Downloaded manual from MSI link: http://global.msi.com.tw/index.php?func=downloadfile&dno=4117&type=manual
If you run into any other troubles, just post & we'll go from there.

Good luck weeman105!

Icute to motherboard wiring

Hi, on the edge of your mother board closest to the front of the computer, you will find a double row of pins. Use a torch and if needed a magnifying glass and study these, you will find they are labeled the same as your cables from the case.
In some cases the plugs are set as a 3 space plug, if you find one of these that wont fit. just split it. If you plug the LED wire back to front, don't panic it won't hurt they just wont work. The power and reset are not pole sensetive.
