Speedometer is 10MPH fast on 2003 Dodge Ram diesel.

I have a 2003 Dodge Ram Quad Cab 3500 Diesel SRW 4X4 truck. The previous owners must have had larger diameter tires and had the speedometer calibrated fot the larger size. It now has stock size tires (265/70/R17) and the speedometer reads 10 MPH faster. Can this be fixed by disconnecting the bateries for a period of time to reset the speedometer to default stock values ?

THis is actually programmed into your computer so you are going to need to take it to your dealer or buy a tuner that is capable of this. Its embedded now and its going to stay until it is manually changed sorry. OTHERWISE you could always put bigger tires back on it and it would look mean!! :)
