Once the new tap is available, it's simple to fit. They usually have a big nut that unfastened and the tap will come straight off (make sure water tank is empty obviously)
clean the flange with a scotchbright pad and fit the new tap
Sounds like the switch is stuck in the operate position. Therefor once the machine hits temperature it just brews. Your local Bunn distributor should be able to recommend an engineer to replace the switch or supply the correct t,hope of switch if your confident enought Tom replace it yourself.
The brewer is on a gravity feed system, after the initial fill, whatever you put in is what comes out. as for the start button check the water connection on the back, there might be a problem with the solenoid.
Try really cleaning the basket that the water and coffee or cocao goes into. If you don't really clean it well, it will have the taste of the last thing brewed mixed in with the new brew. Coffee followed by coffee should not be a problem, but coffee followed by cocao will give the cocao a coffee taste, and visa versa.
There may be some buildup in the machine other than in the pot itself. To test this, try running the brew cycle with no beans. Taste the hot water. If it's acrid and bitter, your problem lies in buildup (such as the basket). Otherwise, if the hot water just tastes like hot water, then the temperature of the water has probably become too high (that will make coffee tastes more bitter). If this is the problem, there's probably no fix (just make sure you fill the reservoir with cold, not hot, water).
Is it still under warranty? Bunn should take care of it for you if it is. Usually if the coffee is only warm it may mean that a thermal limit has tripped. The water stays warm because the tank has a heater blanket that is wrapped around it but you aren't getting any power to the heater that is in the tank.

It sounds like your heating element or it could just be your heating plate.
I found this information that might also help you out. I found it www.fixitclub.com/Small_Appliances/Coffee_Maker.shtml Basic maintenance can minimize repairs. Periodically brew a batch of water without the grounds, adding a small amount of vinegar to the water to neutralize accumulated acids. In addition, if you live in an area that has hard tap water, only use distilled or filtered water in your coffee maker. Not only will it last longer, the coffee will also taste better
