The proper oil weight should be printed on the oil refill cap located under the hood. It's likely a 20 weight oil in the New Beetle.

What oil to use in 2006 vw beetle

On a 1.8T you should ALWAYS be running synthetic, otherwise you are going to have sludge issues...especially if you do a lot of city driving. Mobil 1 0w-40 is a great oil, readily available and reasonably priced.

Hope this helps...

There are no switches they can hit to make your airbag light go on. It just sounds like a horrible coencidence. Call VW Customer service number in your owners manual, they may do the diagnostic for free then.

Need to locate drain plug and filter before I get under the car.Any tips on that would make it easier will be appreciated. This is for a 2006 VW beetle gas engine

hi from uk the best advice i would tell you is to obtain a haynes manual for your make/model these are a good/valuable investment to the person who wishes to d i y their own routine maintainance and save $$$$$/££££ s in garage costs such as oil +filter change etc these manuals give easy to follow instructions for diy along with photo's! so if you wish to do any type of job on your car in the future ? and gain knowledge and confidence ? remember this all mechanics were not born with their knowledge on maintainance we all gained it over time hope this helps and inspires you? best wishes

How often should the oil be changed in a 2004 VW beetle? After how many miles? Is there any reason to change it after a certain number of months instead of a certain number of miles? Is the number the...

Oil should be changed every 5000 miles for moderate driving. Some people have adopted the 3500 mile interval for changing oil. The length of time is not relevant, change it between 3500 and 5000 miles. The number is the same for newer cars as well

What oil type do I use...2003 vw beetle?

if U live in a cold climate use 5W-30W, if u live in a moderate climate with hot summers use 10W-30W, any name brand meets your engines requirements. Do not use any oils heavier than these two, it can cause engine bearing damage.
