Protection mode my amp powers on and the light is green and it even gets my subs bumping a little bit, but then i go to turn up lowpass, bassboast and crossover and my amp instantly goes into protection mode. any solutions to this?

Hey, im having the same trouble. Id disconnect all speaker wires from the speaker terminals of the amp. Then, when it powers up again, the amp goes into protect mode and i didnt connect the speaker wires yet.

The amp dont shuts down, but the light is orange (Not green or red completely). And if i connect the speaker wires again, make loud noises when even if i dont move the RCA cables where they plug into the amplifier.

Disconnect all speaker wires from the speaker terminals of the amp. If it powers up and doesn't go into protect when you increase the settings, the wiring needs to be checked. If it still shuts down, the amp may need to be repaired.

Does it shut down or make loud noises when you move the RCA cables where they plug into the amplifier?

JBL amp, worked fine untill 2 days ago. protection light on..

might have roasted your speakers voice coils a little which may be sending the amp into protect mode throw a speaker on it that you know works and if it doesnt trigger the protect circuit then you probably have a blown or almost sub.

HiFonics txi4008 not working, partially lighting up

Sounds like your amp has some power supply compents shorted out. Maybe some of the power mosfets are shorted and your only getting a little bit of power. That why only the H is lighting and as far as the green light, it don't take much for it to turn on. If it was major it would go into protect mode but it is'nt. I repair amps for a living and I'm the cheapest you'll find. But if you know about electronics and think you can take a crack at it, check it out. Becareful you could do more damage. Green and red light are on my pyramid amp and its not working

It could be even simpler than that, yes an improper impedance rating on an amp will cause it to overheat, but should function temporarily until it reaches peak temp. If the outputs were blown the protect light should not light up being that they would need to work to cause the protect light to come on. I would double check all of your connections, one small little crossed wire would cause an amp to immediately go into a protect mode.

Protection Light Comes on

Sounds like you have an ohm problem, Tryy hooking the positive from one speaker to the negative on the other speaker. Then hook the negative from the first speaker to the negative on your amp and the positive from the second to the positive on the amp this will drop your ohm load and the amp should stop going into protection.

Red LED "Protection Light is on" What is the problem

The red light means the amp is in protection mode. A few things can cause protection mode..... First disconnect the subs completely from the amp, and turn it on, if it powers up you have blown subs. Also try checking the main power wire at the battery...sometimes the current your meter is seeing is backfeeding from the remote wire, so your main power line could be blown at the fuse under the hood. hope this helps
