Can't get universal remotes to work with this TV

I've tried a Phillips Universal Remote and a COMCAST remote and neither will work with the codes provided. Is there any way to get the correct code?

Need a universal remote code for Ario tv

From the Ario Website, this worked for me!!!!

"Cable and Satellite content providers control the remote codes, and we apologize for any confusion during the remote programming. Please try the following codes 10019, 0178, 10178, 0030, 10030, 0835, 10835, or for Dish Network try 627, 659 or 505. For Fios TV (Verizon), try the code 3264. These codes may not work on some universal remotes. If there is another code listed for ARIO in your universal remote control guide, please try that code. Refer to the Remote Control Guide under your TV's model number for more information".

I NEED TO PROGRAM A MAGNAVOX TV WITH A PHILLIPS UNIVERSAL REMOTE CONTROLL

Find codes and methods here.
http://www.docstoc.com/docs/23925020/Programming-Remote-Control-Brand-Codes-TV-Sets

If those codes dont work try the last three(or four) numbers of your TV's serial number.

On my universal remote is just a matter of holding down the TV button till the light stays on, then punching in the three digit TV code. When the TV turns off it's the right code. But read your manual for your controller.

I need a remote code for a rca remote for the olevia remote control can you help

Unfortunately Olevia is one of those t.v. brands that is not compatible with many universal remote controls. They make a Universal Learning Remote specifically available from Olevia on their web site that may solve your problem if your universal remote control turns out not to be compatible with your Olevia television.

As for what codes you can try, there are many, and the codes depend on your universal remote control brand. Many times, an RCA code will work for Olevia televisions, so you should try the RCA codes that come with your universal remote first, before trying any of these other codes.

If you have a Dish Network Universal Remote you can use code 506 or 127.

Direct TV remote codes vary by model number on the remote control, but the following codes work with most Direct TV remotes: 506, 127, 11144, 11240, 11331, 11610

Cable Vision use code 506

Charter and Movie Box remotes you can use 1144 or 1178

Comcast codes are 11144, 11240, 11331, 21075, 10159, 10154, and 10088

Cox code is 1610

Brighthouse remote codes are 1610, 1144, 1240, and 1331

Time Warner remote codes are 1610, 1144, 1240, 1331, 432, and 1610

If none of these brands are what you are looking for as far as your Universal Remote Control is concerned, many universal remote controls will work with Olevia televisions if you use the codes found under the RCA, LG, Phillips, and Yamaha in the code listing included with your remote control.

Tv remote code

Trying to program a universal remote can sometimes be a frustrating process. Successful programming of a universal remote depends on whether the universal remote manufacturer included our company’s information in the remote when it was assembled.

Then a cable company (ie., Comcast) or satellite provider (ie., Dish Network) orders their decoder box and universal remote control from a manufacturer (ie., Scientific Atlanta, Motorola, etc.), the decoder box manufacturer provides a list of all the possible remote controls this universal can duplicate. From that list the cable company or satellite selects which manufacture’s products to include on their new universal remote. Once those manufacturers names have been decided, they are placed on the universal remote and a numeric code is assigned. If they choose not to include our company on the universal remote, the universal remote may not access the Maxent screen.

If you cannot locate Maxent on the list provided to you by the universal remote provider, please try the following:

Through contact with various cable and satellite content providers we have developed a list of the most common numeric codes that are used with universal remotes.

Content Provider/Most commonly used code

Comcast: 1755
Comcast (ML-3251HLT Model): 0054
Insight: 1755

Direct TV: 11755
Dish Network: 742
Cable Vision: 165
Adelphia: 0156, 1755
Universal: 0762
One4All: 0036
Time Warner: 0230

We have identified other manufacturers of display products that have similar remote control information to ours. Depending on the universal remote you are using these manufacturers may work. Please use the documentation that accompanied your universal remote, and look up the following companies. Input the numeric code associate with that company.

Gateway
Sampo
Viewsonic
Magnavox
Phillips
Marantz
Pilot

If the universal remote you are trying to program contains a Code Search (the remote will scan through all the codes contained within the universal remote) function, we recommend that you try that procedure. It is possible that there may be another manufacturer code that may work with our monitor.

You may also want to try a Learning Remote from another manufacturer. This type of remote control can absorb or record the information coming directly out of the Maxent remote control. The learning remote then duplicates that information and acts like the Maxent Remote control. This type of remote can also record the signal coming from your other universal remotes in the same manner. In which case you can use this learning remote for your entire audio video system

please rate the chat session that got disconnected due to slow server if this helps.and if does not helps please reply for further help.
