Apparently Microsoft are releasing evaluation (trial) versions of Windows Embedded Comapct 7 which is based on the Windows 7 environment and Windows Embedded POSready 7 also based on Windows 7. You can download either by clicking the link below. The normal version of Windows 7 cannot be installed on the netbook because the processer doesn't support it. If you don't want to download in trial the embedded versions then you will just have to keep on updating embedded 6.0 Pro and hope they fix the bugs with the system. LINK BELOW:

Why move it at all. XP needs SP3 to read hi capacity drives. I use USB external drives without any problems to increase capacity without the hassles of moving files. There are software packages that will transfer data from one hard drive to another if you must.
