Pedestal for Samsung washer & dryer, will other brands fit too?

I have a Samsung front loading washer and dryer - I would like to buy a set of used pedestals but haven't found any Samsung pedestals for sale yet. Can I use pedestals from another manufacturers other than Samsung?

    I don't have the pedestals, just washer/dryer. I'm looking for pedestals made, perhaps by another company ie: LG/Maytag..etc..my question is: will other pedestals fit the SamSung washer/dryers? I don't want to pay $200.00 Plus for a pedestal..any suggestions?

    I can't get the answer to my question, what other brands of pedestals will fit the samsung w/d? I see pedestals for sale, but won't consider buying another brand, 'til I find out what will fit.

SOURCE: how to remove drawer on pedestal

You need to remove the 2 screws holding the black rails on both sides of the drawer. Took us a while to figure this one out also.

some pedistals have a screw on drawer just behind front on end of rail newer ones have a small black lever on each side ..pull drawer completely out lever is about midway at end of inner rail pull lever 1 up other down drawer will pull off rail reinstall by sliding rails back together and pusing all the way in

If you pull out the drawer (completely) you should find 1 or 2 screws on each side that bolts the slider to the drawer. Remove these, then lift out the drawer. This then gives you full access inside. ...JimS

If the pedestals are properly installed they pretty much become part of the washer and dryer and if those are installed correctly you will have no more vibration then if the units are sitting on the floor. If possible get the washer as close to an outside wall as possible since the floor is stronger there.

Please check your model number. 8500HSA does not cross to anything on LG.COM.

Universal pedestals are for sale at Sears, Home Depot, Lowers, and Best Buy. The pedestal and machine will bolt together, that is, a bolt will run upward from the pedestal into threaded bolt holes in the bottom of the washer. If you can measure the distance from bolt hole to bolt hole on the bottom of the washer, you can check to see if the universal pedestal fits before you buy it.

Several months ago I took my front loaders off the pedestals. The pedestals were kind of nice for handling the clothes but about 40% of the time I spilled either detergent, bleach, or softener because the pedestal put the drawer too high for me.

Even though the Sears brand is made by Whirlpool, the 110 series is an exclusive line. IT is not likely to fit. You will have to measure the base and mounting holes on the pedestal and the machine.

There's a few things that cause this and there may be no easy answer. Is the washer on the second floor? Is the washer on a ceramic tile floor? ...wait a minute, you said it vibrated the whole house so this makes me think the floor has some "give". If any of these there is no easy fix. I've seen ONE thing that does work though. It's a pedestal that spans under the washer AND dryer, one long one which distributes the weight and vibration. I don't know where to get one but I do know they are out there. One of my customers had one and I took notice because the floor was ceramic tile and the washer wasn't vibrating all over the place. It was very stable.

Need exact dimensions of duet washer & dryer bought in 2006. Also how to prepare for moving same appliances.
Basic measurements for washer and dryer with door closed and not on optional pedestal(s) are 31.5" deep (front to back), 27" wide, (left to right), and 38" high. For installation and usage consider the leveling feet, use of pedestal(s), water hookups, drain hose for washer, and vent (exhaust) hose for dryer. You may want to position the washer on your left, and the dryer on the right due to hinge location, and for ease of transferring laundry from one machine to the other. Depth of washer (front to back) with door open 90 degrees is 50.5" and the dryer is 51.5". At the factory, four (4) shipping bolts are attached to the back of the washer to secure the drum for shipping. These should be re-installed prior to the move, (if you still have them).
