Changing ringing on a Partner system is done on either ext 10 or 11.
At one of those ext's press the feature key and "00"
Next press the left hand intercom twice
The display should say system programming

Press the right hand intercom once. The display should say Centralized Programming.

Enter in the extension number that you want to program.

Press the line that you want to ring.
A solid light on the line means immediate ringing
A slow flashing light means delayed ringing (meaning the phone will wait 3 rings before starting to ring.)
A fast flashing light means no ringing.

When finished with that station press the right hand intercom and enter in the next extension to program and set ringing accordingly.

Press feature "00" to logout

On the phone to be programmed:
1. Press "Feature 0 0"
2. Press the line button(s) to be changed, until desired effect below
-- Steady Green - Immediate Ring
-- Slow Flash - Delayed Ring (after 20 seconds)
-- Fast Flutter - No Ring
3. Press "Feature 0 0" again to end.

That's all there is to it.

Incoming calls do not ring

Is the line ringing turned off? A quick check is to press Feature 00 from any extension and look at the line lights. If they flash fast then the ringing is turned off. To restore ringing press the line button until the light turns solid. Then press Feature 00 to save and exit.

My lucent Merlin ETR 18D is not ringing at all on incoming calles. The lights are flashing, but the phone does not ring.

hello,
i want you to go your phone setting, press the menu, scroll to profile, select the profile you are using and personalize it.
however, when personalizing scroll down to ringing type and select the ringing type you want.
if this does not work, open the phone, remove the ringer [the ringer is a small metal touching the panel of the phone, read it with meter, if it does not read, change it and replace it with a good one.

Avaya Partner System. 18D Phone. Suddenly, I get a beep when an incoming call hits the system. No idea why it started. How do I get rid of it?

Is the time and date correct on your phones?

Usually this means that the system has lost programming, and when a call rings in, the voicemail picks up. The system will need to be reprogrammed from scratch. The voicemail boxes and messages will still be there, but the phon system doesnt know where the voicemail is until its programmed.
