There aren't many ways to recover data from a CD if it is no longer working. I'm assuming it is scratched. You on the other hand can download the drivers that were present on the CD from the Acer website linked below. These drivers are the latest version and are probably newer than the ones that were present on your CD.
Use Google search engine, and search for your CD driver on the net, and download and install it. If you can't find the specific one for your CD drive, you may be able to find a general driver that will still work. Hope this helps. :)
power down the pc and un plug the cables attached to it then plug the cables back in and power the pc back up.. then the drive should have the built in driver recognized again thus returning use to you .. the user
