New batteries wont charge???.

I had same problem. I found a Zip Tie had dug in the wires that only effected the charging not the controlling part. Till the Zip Tie dug in farther, till it cut another wire, preventing the chair to move. That's is when I discovered it. After finding this out, my old batteries were probably good. I just assumed it was their end of life

I have a blue jet 3 ultra n i just put 2 new batterys on it and all it will do is flash a red light in the top left corner of the battery light on the joy stick and the horn works but will not move what...

Check your battery wiring on the Jet the wires from the circuit breaker need to connect the positive of the front battery to the negative of the rear battery and the other wires connected to the positive of the rear battery and negative of the front battery putting the batteries in series to generate 24+ volts. If you have a voltmeter before you check the wiring set it to 200 volts dc and plug the leads into the 2 outter holes of the charger port located under the front of the joystick. If your batteries are wired correctly you should be reading 27+ volts without the charger plugged in and your batteries fully charged. If you are only reading 12 volts then the wiring is wrong and needs to be fixed. Leaving the voltmeter in the charger port plug in your charger and you should be reading 27 -30+ volts at the charger port anything less than 24 volts indicates your charger is not charging Hope this helps

Jet 3 will not turn on but when you plug charger cord in it will light up the entire length of the battery indicator when you push the switch. Chair will still not move. Controller is a PG Drives Pilot...

the batteries are not charged and need to be replaced. The reason you have lights is because the charger is supplying power to the chair and the chair will not move when the charger is plugged in because of the inhibit function. Replace the batteries and make sure you charge before use Hope this helps

I BOUGHT A USED JAZZY JET 3 ULTRA WITHOUT BATTERIES AND I HAVE BOUGHT 2 NEW BATTERIES BUT AM NOT SURE HOW THE WIRES HOOK TO THEM, IF THE 2 BATTERIES HOOK TOGETHER.

Locate the two wires from the circuit breaker attach one wire (black if marked) to the negative post of the rear battery and attach the other wire (red if marked) to the positive post of the front battery. Locate the two wires coming from the power module plug with a red and black wire. Attach the red wire to the rear battery positive post and the black wire to the front battery negative post. attach the joystick to the nine pin plug at the rear of the chair and turn it on. You should have power at the joystick and the chair should work. Disconnect the joystick put the shroud cover back on grease the seat post and reattach the seat then plug in the joystick and charger plug at the rear of the chair. Charge the batteries before use and charge them overnite for the next 20 days. If you use the chair daily charge your batteries everynite while you sleep unplug in the morning. If you don't use the chair daily charge at least once per week or after you use the chair. Always put the chair up fully charged if you are going to be out of the chair for an extended time the disconnect the batteries at the large plug going to the power module Hope this helps you

I fitted new batterys, now the joystick is reading low battery but no responce from the joystick.the batterys are wired red to red and black to black does the chair turn this to 24v itself, theres no...

Will you don't say what chair you have and they can all be wired differently. Look under the shroud that covers your batteries and see if there isn't a wiring diagram there. If you let me know the brand ie: Pride Jazzy, Invacare M51 etc. I can give you the proper wiring for the batteries. Now you also didn't say if you charged the batteries after you installed them. Remember always charge before use. Just because they are new doesn't mean they are charged (in fact they could have sat on the shelf for a while). Make sure that they are no older than 4 months old even new batteries can be bad. Charge these puppies overnite. When you plug in the charger you should see a red and yellow light after charging overnite you should see a red and green light( indicating full charge) If when you plug the charger in you get a red and green light then something isn't wired correctly. Hope this helps

New batteries @ wont hold a charge might have connected wrong do you have a diagram for battery hookup?

If the batteries were wrong you would not get power at the joystick and you wouldn't be able to turn it on. If it is coming on and working then your problem is either a bad charger or a bad battery. If you charge the chair and the green light on the charger is on (indicting a full charge) unplug the charger and if you have a digital voltmeter put it on 200 v dc and plug the leads into the 2 outter pin holes of the charger port located under the front of the joystick you should be reading 25-27 volts after charging if less than that then either the charger didn't work or you have a bad battery or batteries. New ones sometimes can be bad. If you know of a friend or can borrow another charger try charging with it to see if it makes a difference Hope this helps

WHEN I TURN THE POWER ON FOR MY JT3 ULTRA POWER CHAIR, THE LIGHTS THAT INDICATE THE STATUS OF BATTERY BLINK ON AND OFF (REGARDLESS OF BEING FULLY CHARGED OR NOT) AND THE CHAIR WILL NOT MOVE. SOMETIMES,...

I would replace the batteries with new ones anyway to make sure that you are getting full power and if the problem stops great if it continues then you have eliminated one possible problem. A low battery will cause the problem and these chairs diagnose themselves with the controller giving you flash codes to indicate a problem. I would just check for a loose connection in the wiring when you have the seat off changing the batteries and give the base a good cleaning( without water) (Use those cleaning wipes from dollar store) Hope this helps you
