I am using the HTC touch diamond. I am unable to transfer my contact from a nokia mobile (3500) to HTC diamond. I am trying to sync both these phones, but unable to do so. Secondly, in the connection manager, I am unable to switch on my wi-fi network. When I click on communications >> Wi-FI.. it doesn't turn on. Please help

Hi. In the sync options, there should be a couple of different options such as selecting either the phone or the outlook for the master of the contacts. So if you can change the option to copy contacts from outlook to phone (should be reverse in order to continously backup phone data) I think that tick will be seen when you got all your contacts to your phone. Hope this helps.
Check the battery connection, if the battery is loose/moves around when you touch it with your finger, try putting a piece of paper on top, or the side, or which ever way it moves. So the battery will still touch the battery contacts. If this isn't the case, try doing a hard reset. Go to start>settings>system>clear storage. (It's like this in my htc diamond, not sure about the touch HD, but should be same) which will erase all data/contacts. Make sure you sync your contacts to your pc to save them!
There are few tools to have. A usb cord, your PC has Bluetooth and pair with you N51 via bluetooth. Have the free software, "Nokia PC Suite". Download it from www.nokiausa.com/PCsuite. It's a free download. Once downloaded, restart your computer. (without the phone connected) Connect. It'll give you easy step by step instructions to transfer contacts to the computer. Plus, other multimedia you may have on your device. Very handy!! Then, just use Active Sync or any software you got with your HTC Touch HD. It can sync you contacts from Outlook onto the new phone. This is nice, in case your phone would crash, break, or the worse stolen. Your contacts are all backed up on the PC. Always take a look at www.htcwiki.com for the best tips & tricks for your HTC device and software updates. A lot of times they will even post known issues and work arounds.
You don't need Sprite back up to sync contacts. All you need is ActiveSync 4.5 (for WinXP) or WMDC (for Vista). When installed connect your htc device and follow onscreen instruction. You can choose in settings what to sync.
