Most charge it threw the low side ac line, there is 2 high side and low the low is the bigger fitting of the two, and should be capped follow the ac lines you will find it. However I really suggest you have it done with a AC machine by a certified tech. There is moisture in the system, what refrigerent that is in there should be recycled then a vacum to get it out, it also takes some ofthe old oil out and new put back in usually best mixed with uv dye to detect a leak later. Good luck

When putting freon in with car running freon does not go in

Your ac is controlled by the computer and once it recognizes that you are low on freon it shuts the compressor down.. You will first have to start putting a can of freon into the system without the car running . With your gauges still hooked up disconnect the the battery and reconnect it after ten seconds or more. This will reset your computer. Start your car and then turn on the ac. The compressor should come on and you should be able to continue charging your ac.

How do i charge the air conditioner on a 2000 ford focus. Where are the connectors

Look for the ac compressor, and locate the large ac line coming off the ac compressor.Follow it until you come to the ac charge port.this is where you charge it up with a charge hose that you have.Put the can on the can tap,and the quick connect to the ac port on the ac.Turn the t handle on the can tap clockwise until all the way down.hold the can upside down.start engine and turn the ac on high blower.and recirculate.shake can lightly, until the can empties.Turn the t handle counter clock wise, almost all the way out,and remove the can .Repeat to add another can,Don`t put too much freon in,and add ac oil also.If it lost freon,it lost oil, failing to do this could cause the ac compressor to lock up.One 4 oz can will be fine.look for the large ac line to get cold, and the accumulator to get real cold, then stop with the freon.

How do I put freon into 1993 grand cherokee 5.2 engine?

Look for the large ac line/hose coming out of the ac compressor, and follow that line until you come to a small ac port, this is the low side where you will hook up to to charge.I take it you have purchased a charge hose and freon?Put the can of 134a freon on the can tap at end of charge hose, and the quick connect will snap on the low side ac port on the vehicle.Turn the freon can upside down and turn the t handle on the can tap until it pierces the can.Start the vehicle, and set all settings high blower motor, max air, recirculate mode. The ac compressor should cycle on and off, this is normal, until there is enough freon in system. When the can starts to empty, shake the can lightly until empty. It will be hard to tell, but you will figure it out.Turn the can t-handle back out,and unscrew the can an repeat process until enough freon is in the system. You can get to much freon in the system.so see hoe much it takes to fill it on the label under the hood.If the system was not empty,it won`t take the fill amount,go slow, and feel the cold parts(large ac line near the firewall). They should get dern cool,to cold, and sweating really good.Stop when this happens, and it is cool inside.

I have a 92 s10 with an ac problem the the clutch engages and it has freon i have checked the fuses all good and when i lead a jumper wire from the battery it acts like its working but nvr blows cold air

a system can have some freon in it and not be totally charged. You should consider either just attempting to add freon or take it somewhere to have it evacuated and put on a deep vacuum for 30 minutes or more and put a full charge on it.
