Whirlpool Gas Dryer I need the wiring diagram of Whirlpool WGD 5000

Electronics board. If both the moisture content sensor and the clock have not functioned, that shows the problem is a general fault. These modern devices like dryers have large integrated control units on a board that handles everything. Only a replacement of that board could solve more than one problem. Contact a repair person or go on line for further information.
That is just my opinion from operating for last 39 years a Maytag dryer that has simple clockworks timer and very primitive but faultless (so far) functions.

Typically there is a wiring diagram inside console area or on back of dryer.

If you open the control panel heading there should be a wiring diagram and a tech sheet inside. In some rare occasions these sheets may be inside the cavity of the dryer.

Well it might be the element. The basic innards look like this:


Take the top off first then remove the control panel then the electronics and then the front comes off. Unplug it before you start.You should also look for reasons why the dryer stopped heating like lint blocking airflow. Clean that up and check each of the safety's for continuity. I like to remove at least one wire from each component to prevent ghosting or false read.
Check the heater element the same way. The model is a wed so that means it is electric. wgd would be the gas model.

Clean your dryer vents, and lint filters. You may need to clean vent from wall to outside. to test this.. unhook vent pipe from wall..and run dryer and see what happens. If the problem does not improve, you may have a defective heat coils.

try holding door switch down with your finger while pressing start button.if dryer starts then your door needs adjusting.
