RDS failure? Sony CDX-GT310 Car radio: RDS appears to work, but I have some issues. Maybe it's just me.... 1. I do not see the frequency change when changing to another area broadcast of same station. 2. The station name is not displayed. When selecting display, says "no name". The above are on various stations that I know broadcast the info, and works on another receiver.

The yellow wire must be directly connected to an always ON B+12 such as the + terminal of the battery. This wire is responsible for providing power to the memory.

Called a shop in VA and their opinion was that the tuner section of the unit failed. Cost of the part, $80. Then, labor and shipping. I can buy the new model (GT320) for about $95. I opted for buying a new unit.
