Follow these procedures to remove the back access cover on an Indesit WIE 167 washing machine and replace the belt:
Disconnect the washer from the electrical outlet and turn off the water supply.
Move the washing machine away from the wall so that the back can be accessed.
Find the screws that secure the rear access cover. Often, they are positioned throughout the cover's perimeter.
Remove the screws using a screwdriver and store them in a secure location.
Carefully remove the washing machine's back access cover. Using a flat instrument, such as a putty knife or a scraper, to pull the cover away from the machine may be useful.
Once the cover is removed, the belt should be accessible. Remove the old belt from the machine with care.
Put the replacement belt on both the motor and drum pulleys.
Align the back access panel with the washing machine and secure the screws to reattach it.
Reconnect the washing machine and activate the water supply.
Verify that the replacement belt works properly by putting the washing machine through a series of tests.
When servicing a washing machine, it is essential to observe all safety precautions. If you are uncertain or uncomfortable with any of these processes, it may be better to call a skilled technician or service center for assistance.
when lights flash on indesit washing machine means there is a fault with the machine you will need to tell me which ones are flasing so i can tell you what the fault is
Indesit washing machine error code 3 (F03)
On certain Indesit washing machines, if the on off light is flashing 3 times, with a slight pause, followed by flashing a further 3 times, or if it is didplaying F03 you have an error code that is explained as follows - NTC fault - check Thermistor and module connections.
The NTC is the thermistor, which is a modern-day thermostat. It’s inserted into a tube in the heating element and is filled with heat sensitive crystals that change their electrical resistance according to their temperature. By knowing what electrical resistance the crystals have at given temperatures they can tell the water temperature.
With this fault the NTC is either faulty, or there’s a dodgy connection to or from it or there’s a connection problem where it connects to the main PCB.
It’s not something you can easily fault find yourself unfortunately, apart from if there was an obvious broken wire.
Sure you can. Click on "Indesit" or "washing machines" (below FIXYA) on this website, type in your model No & search. You will get a shortlist; click on your model, below the page u will get Manual/Guides. Click on the blue, you have your manual on line. And dont forget to rate me on this great site.
i am a recently retired engineer of 20 years, but this sounds like (based on the info given) a heater element fault, after the machine fills up and agitates a few times the heater should start, check the heater for open circuit, replace if needed, of course it just could be a wire off?
if i have helped rate me please
on the bottom of the machine there is a panel made of plastic that may be removed to expose the waste filter.open the waste filter and check that the waste pump is not blocked as in the initial start up the pump is run if there is a problem with the pump the machine will not advance.
